31/03/2026: No option to change a side dish that wasn't to our liking, which is a shame as the owner made it clear with a very curt "NO." The cocktail sauce accompanying the baby shrimp on the otherwise excellent gravlax salmon wasn't great. 😲 The rest of the meal was excellent. 👍 The prices are excessive for the dishes offered and the restaurant's ambiance.

09/10/2025: A pleasant discovery for a reunion with colleagues. A little noisy but the dishes were very generous and well served, with a smile from the entire restaurant team. I discovered a local white wine that I really liked. I will definitely come back.

05/04/2026: It's best to book for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Quiet pizzeria, very good salad, carpaccio, and pizza, with generous toppings. The staff is very friendly and kind. High chairs are available. Both times we came with our daughter under 2 years old, the staff were very understanding.

03/04/2026: I went out for dinner tonight with my partner, following a recommendation from the Airbnb host… a regular at local restaurants, I booked a table by phone… We arrived on time and the table was waiting for us… 2 martinis, 1 Normandy pizza, 1 tartiflette pizza, a bottle of rosé, chocolate mousse + coffee = 67 euros. The pizzas: something about them wasn't homemade, a bland, uninspired taste. The chocolate mousse was definitely not homemade. The service wasn't bad, but not at all friendly for a restaurant with few tables perched in a small Norman village. I wouldn't recommend it if you're on a weekend and want a quality meal. For a casual meal, it's fine, but don't expect the taste of real homemade food made with local ingredients. Parking was no problem.

24/03/2026: If I'm ever in Loches, I'll definitely eat there. For me, it's the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to in all those years. I know almost every dish. And Khuyen is as lovely as ever. The ingredients are always fresh.

The cuisine showcases fresh, high-quality produce, with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood. The dishes are flavorful, beautifully presented, and expertly prepared. The service is attentive and professional without being intrusive. All in all, it makes for an excellent experience, ideal for lunch or dinner during a stay on Île de Ré. A restaurant we readily recommend.

There's a large parking lot right across the street, even for very large vehicles. As an added bonus, our two cocker spaniels were welcome. We'll definitely be back.
