26/04/2026: Dining at Auberge du Vieux Puits was overall a very good experience. The cuisine is excellent, and the wine pricing is surprisingly fair for this level. However, the wine service did not meet the expected standard. I ordered a 1999 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Échézeaux (€2400), and my glass was refilled while it was still half full, which interrupted the natural evolution of the wine in the glass. More importantly, this was not an isolated moment. The same refill approach was repeatedly applied to other guests at the table, even when it was clear that they were slowing down or had stopped drinking. This not only affected the tasting experience but also led to unnecessary over-pouring. For wines of this level, service should adapt to the guest’s pacing and respect the integrity of each glass, rather than applying a routine refill approach. A noticeable gap in an otherwise excellent experience.

23/04/2026: What a fantastic discovery! We had a wonderful evening at this Italian restaurant. The setting is truly lovely, and the warm atmosphere is palpable as soon as you walk in. The service was impeccable, but we wanted to highlight two particular favorites: Florence, for her professionalism and kindness! And the mixologist, a true artist! 07/05/2026: We had a reservation and, upon arrival, were seated to a terrace that was still half empty. After waiting 45 minutes without the waiter returning, and while the terrace had by then become completely full, we had to flag him down. He then informed us that he could only take drink orders, as the kitchen was no longer taking orders because it was full. A very disappointing experience; I do not recommend it.

21/05/2026: Wow! What a delightful experience, from the warm and friendly welcome to the really fine pizza and splendid wines at a surprisingly low price. This is one our favorite places in the neighborhood.

11/05/2026: We had dinner at Le Troubadour this week. Nestled in the heart of Hautefort's historic center, the restaurant is housed in a charming old building steeped in history. We received a warm welcome from the very friendly owners and had an incredible time. The cuisine is refined, the ingredients are local, fresh, and expertly prepared. The prices reflect the effort put into offering this level of service. We highly recommend this establishment. A true gem!

23/05/2026: Great first impression of the beautiful courtyard with its plants, the restaurant, and the table arrangement with ample space between each table. Wonderful food from start to finish; the appetizer was divine, and the foie gras was one of the best I've ever had. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back.
