23/05/2026: A wonderful discovery after three attempts to book! 🎉 We finally managed to explore this menu which took us on a culinary journey 🌏, thrilled us 🥰, a true delight for our taste buds... The local white wine from Faverolles, "Le Water l'eau," was excellent and paired perfectly with our dishes! Your turn! 😁

There's nothing else like this unique establishment in the Pink City. The service is always unforgettable, relaxed, and friendly. With Amande and Caro, the kitchen staff, you can feel their joy in being there for the customers and their zest for life. And of course, the food is absolutely delicious: classic dishes like confit pork cheeks, the famous and inimitable baked egg with morels and foie gras—so good you'll lick the plate clean...—and the renowned double cream banoffee pie, which is simply perfect. The covered terrace, with its cozy lounge feel, and the tables in the three dining rooms aren't just places to eat and drink; Le Gai Pêcheur is a haven to recharge and protect your sanity from the harshness of the world. Don't hesitate to step inside; at first glance, it might not seem particularly special. But once you take a bite, you'll be transported. Not a single flaw from aperitif to dessert, and even a few petit fours to our delight. Try it, and you'll be hooked.

11/05/2026: For a romantic dinner, a meal with friends, or even a meal with colleagues! They have excellent pizzas, a "mezzo mezzo" option (half a pizza + a small Lyonnaise salad, for example) if you're not as hungry, pasta dishes, or even a daily special at lunchtime. I've been going there for years and I'm always happy. The owners and staff are incredibly attentive, thank you to them! Don't hesitate!

27/04/2026: Honestly, a huge disappointment… 😡 We ordered three meat-based menus, and it was a disaster from the start: drinks were served already opened in glasses, looking frankly suspicious (we didn't even dare taste them…). Then came the meat… inedible. All three dishes had a fishy aftertaste 🤢 We pointed this out to the chef, who tasted it… and completely denied the obvious. No self-reflection, an embarrassed attitude, but most importantly, no solution offered. As a result, we had to leave the meal halfway through, and to top it off, we had stomach aches when we left. Clearly, there's a problem with either freshness or hygiene in the kitchen. It's all the more disappointing because we've been coming regularly for years. The quality has clearly dropped, probably to cut costs… but this is unacceptable. We came all the way from Lyon specifically for this… big mistake. I absolutely do not recommend it. Avoid at all costs!!! And what's more, the "Masterchef Star Chef" 🤣🤣 teaches us how to eat meat so it doesn't taste fishy (according to him, you shouldn't drink Coca-Cola and you shouldn't eat meat medium or well-done 😂😂😂). Unheard of... for him, the only cooking method is rare.
