24/06/2026: A restaurant with a great atmosphere, a relaxing ambiance, and delicious food. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating. I visited on my first trip to Paris because of its good reputation. Although I barely speak French, they guided me in English, which was reassuring. The staff were very friendly. The menu also had English translations, which was a nice touch. The wine menu was extensive, so we each ordered our favorites by the glass. We also ordered the highly-rated duck and beef with foie gras sauce. The milky sauce gave it a mellow flavor. It was very delicious. The accompanying potatoes were especially good. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Is this what they call a country cut? I really liked it. The main course and the baguette served at the beginning were enough to fill me up. The restaurant had a slightly dim, pleasant atmosphere; it was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely like to visit again.

27/06/2026: A pure delight. In an intimate (and surprisingly sparsely populated) dining room, a parade of exquisite dishes unfolds, a masterful blend of classic and original. A splendid and refreshing summer menu (featuring a superb tomato-based starter and a perfectly glazed duck breast) was served with professionalism and a relaxed atmosphere. Hats off and thank you!

13/02/2026: The Val d'Auge is an exceptional address thanks to its inventive cuisine that knows how to enhance quality, seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes such as the egg cocotte with truffles and the sweetbreads with charlotte purée are excellent, and the chef updates the menu according to the seasons and his inspiration. The service is efficient and attentive, and knows how to adapt to customers' tastes, particularly when it comes to wine. The evolving menu allows for constant discovery of new dishes. We'll be back.

07/06/2026: I was only in town briefly and wanted to grab a bite to eat at short notice, and this restaurant was the only one that had a table available. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. My server, who may also have been the owner, was very friendly and explained everything to me in English. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The value for money is very good.

03/05/2026: Last night, we had two "truffadette" pizzas... absolutely delicious! Even though the prices have gone up slightly (but not excessively)... the pizza is still delicious, generously topped with quality ingredients, unlike some other takeaway pizza places in La Bourboule. We come twice a year and are never disappointed... Keep up the good work, we'll be loyal customers! 🍕😊 I highly recommend Pizza Loulou! 😍

11/05/2026: We were greeted by the owner (who also served) with music, as he was playing guitar at a table and was very friendly. We were given our choice of table. We opted for the tasting menu, and the owner suggested dishes after asking us about our preferences. The meal was excellent from start to finish! Let yourself be guided, and you won't be disappointed. Special mention goes to the soup offered at the beginning of the meal. I usually skip it, but I'm so glad I accepted it because it was the best soup I've ever had in a restaurant; it was perfectly seasoned, bursting with flavor...a real treat!
