17/08/2026: A wonderful restaurant! Delicious, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. But I especially want to mention the portion sizes: the cuisine and presentation are top-notch, and the portions are generous and filling—you truly leave feeling full. We ordered carrot hummus with pistachio praline and focaccia, Bouchée à la reine, quail, and Angus bavette—everything was superb. Our child had salmon from the kids' menu—excellent quality fish and a generous portion. This was especially valuable for us: just the day before, after dinner at another French restaurant, we had to go to a pizzeria because we were still hungry 😅. Despite Colmar being a touristy city, there's absolutely no "tourist restaurant" feel here—you can feel the authenticity of French and Alsatian cuisine and tradition. These are the kinds of places you'd like to find more often in France. We definitely recommend it! P.S. The only wish is to improve the service, make it more welcoming, and also perhaps add a uniform for the waiters, since everyone is dressed in different clothes and this is not quite in line with the level of the restaurant, in our opinion)))

But above all, a huge thank you to the staff, who were exceptionally kind ❤️ They were lovely and regularly checked on our eldest daughter, who unfortunately wasn't feeling well at the table. This thoughtful touch really touched us. 🥰 The restaurant is also very clean, with a magnificent and characterful decor. And a special mention for the boar's head near the restrooms 😂🐗: we weren't expecting that, but it's definitely part of the decor! We highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back! 👏

06/09/2026: It was okay, nothing special. I expected better. The setting is beautiful. My piece of meat was stringy. No vegetables on the side, just potatoes, which were very good. The chocolate dessert was small but tasty. I felt there was a lack of privacy at the table. The upside of this lack of privacy was that we got to know our table neighbors, but that's not necessarily what you're looking for when you go to a restaurant. The service was good but somewhat disorganized: we were asked several times if we had ordered our main courses and then our desserts.

06/09/2026: Bistrot du Bord de l’Eau was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The food was absolutely outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and everything we tried was excellent. The service was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere and setting are beautiful, peaceful, elegant, and incredibly relaxing, and the location in Levernois just outside Beaune makes it a perfect stop while exploring Burgundy. From the food to the service to the surroundings, everything was first-class. One of the best places we ate during our entire trip and an absolute must if you’re visiting the Burgundy region.

28/08/2026: Lunch today at this brasserie, a place I stumbled upon. It was a great find: a main course and dessert for €19.90. The main course was fish with a sauce and rice. A generous portion, and for an extra €2, I got a gourmet tea with crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, and fromage blanc with red berry coulis. The quality was excellent. The service was impeccable, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive to their customers. I appreciated them bringing a bowl of water for my dog ​​without me even asking. I'll definitely be back.

13/08/2026: A neighborhood restaurant with fresh, homemade cuisine using market-sourced ingredients. The owner is there to serve you, and the welcome is friendly and warm. His wife is in the kitchen. I highly recommend it; the prices are more than reasonable, and there's a terrace available. 🙂

19/08/2026: We came to eat on Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm, knowing it opens at 7 pm. We waited 45 minutes for two pizzas, and even though the restaurant was full, I think that's really disappointing. Because of this, we missed our movie scheduled for 8:45 pm. The waitress seemed to be working alone and overwhelmed, but she remained very polite and smiling. The pizza dough hadn't rested long enough and wasn't aerated enough, so it was too elastic and difficult to digest. But overall, the food was good and the restaurant was nice. We received a complimentary glass of limoncello after paying the bill.

25/07/2026: Excellent pizzas and desserts. Very high-quality ingredients. A selection of pizzas that are a little different from the usual. Like pesto, avocado, salmon, or pistachio pieces! We'll be back!
