28/07/2026: Must visit and must try! We stumbled upon Savannah Café purely by chance while looking for a great lunch spot after some skincare shopping at the nearby Pharmacie Monge. What an absolute gem of a find! The hospitality was warm and welcoming right from the start, setting a great tone with some delicious complimentary olives brought to the table. We had a fantastic, healthy, and incredibly flavorful meal. We ordered Marinated chicken sautéed with light garlic and roasted almonds: The chicken was perfectly tender, and the almonds added a brilliant crunch and richness to the plate. Grilled lamb gigot skewer with pomegranate molasses: The lamb was cooked beautifully, and the sweetness of the pomegranate molasses paired perfectly with the savory meat. Baba Ganoush & Hummus: Both were exceptionally fresh, authentic, and satisfying plus, they were the perfect additions to our meal to get in some great healthy fats and extra fiber! If you are in the 5th arrondissement near Place Monge and want delicious, high-quality Lebanese food, do yourself a favor and eat here. Highly recommended!

22/07/2026: The bread isn't real kebab bread, it's hamburger bread. It gets soggy with the sauce and toppings and doesn't hold together, so it's impossible to eat it even as a hamburger because it gets soggy and crumbles. The meat is cut too thin; it feels like you're eating nothing but skin. I definitely don't recommend it, even though ChatJPT recommends it.

31/07/2026: The manager gave us a very poor welcome. We politely asked if it would be possible for three of us to share a pizza (there were free tables). We understood that it was lunchtime service, but her reaction was particularly haughty and aggressive towards me. A polite refusal would have been sufficient. This didn't exactly encourage us to order takeout. I wanted to mention that I have rarely received such disdainful treatment in a restaurant in Lyon.

26/08/2026: We obviously came on a Sunday for brunch, like trendy Parisian hipsters after a half-marathon. The brunch menu is quite appealing: it includes two empanadas, a corn tortilla with toppings, a salad, a small dessert, fresh fruit juice, and a hot drink. I gave it this rating because I found the portions a bit small for the price. It's very good and well-prepared; the hot chocolate is truly delicious and beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the main course and dessert weren't substantial enough for my taste. The service, however, is impeccable, energetic, and incredibly friendly! Thank you for having us. In the restrooms, you'll find a whole bunch of contact cards from people who have been here before. 😉

This is exactly the kind of cuisine I love: sublime ingredients, showcased with intelligence and sensitivity, without ever altering their essence. Each dish exudes authenticity and makes you want to return. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere convivial, and the entire team contributes to making this meal a truly excellent experience.
