19/04/2026: If you're hungry, keep walking... We left absolutely starving. The portions are tiny. In all the photos, the foie gras appetizer shows two slices, but I only got one very thin one. Disappointing! Borderline rip-off. The children's menu arrived a good 10 minutes before mine, so my daughter ate alone. She ate it in 2 minutes because there were only 4 small pieces of chicken, half a potato cut into slices, and 3 or 4 carrot rounds. I asked the waitress to add more vegetables because my daughter said she was very hungry, and then she'd eat them again when she got home—unbelievable after leaving a restaurant! The ingredients may be fresh, but the taste is just not there. The dishes are bland and tasteless. The waitress is very nice and does everything she can. The problem must be in the kitchen. I don't understand the good reviews for this restaurant unless the people who were there had eaten beforehand. I asked for mustard, I never received it, and we got our desserts 35 minutes after the main course. And as for my dessert, I don't know how the cook managed to cut such a thin slice of cake. I was hoping to make up for my hunger with dessert, but no such luck. I do not recommend this restaurant.

06/05/2026: I went to this restaurant after a business meeting, intending to have lunch there. Before being seated, I politely asked if it would be possible to plug in my laptop to charge it while I ordered, which was clearly poorly received by the waiter, whose response was particularly curt and unprofessional: "This is a restaurant, madam." I was eventually seated at the manager's request, but without any instructions or assistance (no explanation of how to plug it in, the menu was simply placed there without a word). The service continued in the same atmosphere: unfriendly, distant, and clearly inattentive. Unlike the other tables around me, I was never asked if everything was alright. As for the food, the bone marrow I ordered was truly awful, to the point of being difficult to eat. Furthermore, the water I requested was never brought to me. I would have overlooked this if the service had been pleasant. Finally, when I asked for the bill, he simply handed me the menu, showing me how much my dish had cost. He left, and I had to figure out on my own that I needed to get up and pay at the bar, while other customers were being served directly at their tables. Overall, a very disappointing experience, from the welcome to the service and the quality of the food. I do not recommend it.

28/04/2026: The biggest surprise during our visit to the walled city of Concarneau. First, the welcome: despite the large number of customers, the restaurant owner opened a beautiful upstairs dining room to better serve us. The warm decor was a nice touch, perfectly suited to the setting. The restrooms were also spotless and clean. Then, the service was very efficient; despite the busy crowd, there was no waiting, no pressure, and always with a smile 😃. And of course, the food. A choice between a traditional restaurant and a crêperie. Everything was very well prepared. And to top it all off, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it and will definitely return on my next visit to Concarneau.

05/05/2026: This pizza is truly unworthy of such an establishment. The dough is simply awful, and I won't even mention the powdered oregano, clearly straight from Ducros.

21/04/2026: A warm welcome. The decor and atmosphere are very pleasant. We opted for the €20 set menu, which included a starter, main course, dessert, and coffee. There was a choice of five starters, two main courses, and five desserts. The cuisine was simple yet effective; everything was delicious and excellent value for money. In good weather, a small terrace at the back of the restaurant allows you to dine al fresco. We go there regularly and will definitely return.

26/04/2026: I've been four times already and I always enjoy returning to Canada'Venture in Metz! The poutine royale is always so generous and delicious, with crispy fries, perfectly melted cheese, and a perfect sauce—it's impossible not to finish it. The apple crumble is a delight for dessert, warm and fruity, just like homemade. The atmosphere is super welcoming; the decor makes you feel a bit like you're in Quebec, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Thanks again and congratulations to the team! 🫶

10/04/2026: It tries to look chic, but it isn't. The price isn't justified by what you get on your plate. Sure, the presentation of the dishes is nice, but the quality isn't there. They serve canned asparagus when it's the height of asparagus season and you could easily grow fresh ones. Why serve asparagus? Pretty vinegar at €15 a plate with store-bought mayonnaise. The lamb shank is pre-cooked. It has no flavor. It's just reheated with a Jua; it's not cooked on-site, which is impossible. It has no taste, it's bland. The only decent thing was the scallops. The vegetables were steamed, crisp, and cooked just right. The only thing that was okay was the small ratatouille, which was unnecessary because it was far too much. The rice was cooked perfectly with a light lemony, vinegary flavor. The saffron sauce was good and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Given the restaurant's self-promotion, you don't expect to eat such poor quality, especially considering the level of haute cuisine. Frankly, it's worthless.

18/04/2026: Family lunch during the holidays, burritos and churros for dessert! Absolutely delicious! We loved it (didn't eat anything in the evening 🫢). The only downside was the slightly slow service, but we had plenty of time... We'll definitely be back!

15/04/2026: Good Mexican-inspired restaurant. Friendly welcome. Large, well-decorated interior. Small outdoor terrace. We had the €25 set menu. Very good. Generous portions. Varied selection. A 2-minute walk from Place du Martroi.

13/11/2025: Products in their dusty boxes + a rather... casual welcome (a simple gesture from behind the till to point me towards a tea that was right there without even moving) = a disappointing in-store experience that inevitably detracts from my appreciation of the brand and the enjoyment of its products. I won't be buying from them again anytime soon.

18/03/2026: Category: Traditional Restaurant / Brasserie While the waiter was very good (despite a dry sense of humor that might not be to everyone's taste), the rest of the experience fell short. The aligot was a dish in name only (the mashed potatoes weren't stretchy or creamy). The scallops were very small. And the desserts were far from satisfactory: - The "Café Gourmand": the pastel de nata turned into an overcooked flan, and the fruit salad into chestnut mousse (it's a shame to only find this out after ordering, especially since we asked for clarification beforehand). - The Pavlova with seasonal fruits (in December): with pineapple and passion fruit. We were very disappointed.

12/02/2026: A truly excellent restaurant for connoisseurs. They serve beautifully prepared traditional French cuisine paired with perfectly selected wines. The head cheese starter, followed by pot-au-feu and calf's head for the main courses, was all delicious.
