21/04/2026: We stopped at this restaurant on a whim, and our waitress Lola provided excellent service; she was very professional and friendly. We ate inside and enjoyed the restaurant. The restrooms were spotless. We had a puff pastry appetizer and a pizza, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

18/05/2026: Our stay was a gift from a group of friends for my birthday. I had some preconceived notions, having stayed in similar establishments on the coast, particularly in Deauville... I expected to experience the same feeling... The Grand Hotel is certainly older, and its layout is different from other 5-star hotels... But that gives it an incredible charm. One can't help but feel a deep respect for places steeped in history.

16/05/2026: The hotel is well located in the center of Cabourg and has a sea view. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast, served on a terrace overlooking the sea, is plentiful and delicious. The prices of the menus and drinks are a bit high.

26/06/2026: I was a little disappointed with my steak tartare. I found it rather bland and expected much better, especially considering it was one of the daily specials. Fortunately, the dessert was excellent, which made for a great end to the meal, and the service was impeccable.

02/05/2026: I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant at the end of the world. The staff were incredibly kind, which is becoming rare. I ordered the "Choudree de la Fume," a house specialty that was truly excellent (it's fish cooked in broth). The homemade dessert was also very good. Thank you to the whole team, don't change a thing!

23/06/2026: The kebab was dry, I'm still looking for the sauce, the fries were overcooked and hard, and frankly, this person's humor was awful... okay, you can joke around with your regulars, but when you have new customers, show a little respect! My 11-year-old daughter was more embarrassed than anything else, telling me, "Daddy, that man scares me!"

08/07/2026: We enjoyed an early dinner here and the experience was very pleasent. All staff was very nice and didnt mind our slow french. We ate two salads which were incredible and surprisingly filling, and a burger, which was on the sweeter side, yet nice. The interior is filled with art curated by locals and the bar area has a nice atmosphere. Overall, i would definitely reccomend, although do not expect a traditional, large and filling french meal, more so a nice dish that doesnt reserve to a certain cuisine. Loved the waiters!

16/05/2026: It was very busy on Ascension Thursday, so the wait was a bit long... but so delicious! And the service was friendly and enthusiastic. Tender lamb stew with excellent baby vegetables, monkfish medallions, chicken supreme... all three were superb. The chocolate Chartreuse dessert was original, light, and flavorful.

12/07/2026: We were expecting a special culinary experience due to the prices, but unfortunately, what we got was something that didn't live up to our high expectations. First, the positives: The appetizer was truly excellent and whetted our appetites. Visually, the dishes were also beautifully presented and gave a high-quality impression. Unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. The Simmental steak, priced at €41, was explicitly ordered medium, but arrived almost rare: completely bloody inside and unpleasantly tough. At this price, the cooking should simply be correct. The gnocchi with burrata, priced at €36, were also disappointing. The portion was very small, the gnocchi mushy, and the whole thing was accompanied by a very basic tomato sauce that lacked any finesse. The linguine with langoustines, priced at €39, also failed to impress us. The langoustines were awkward to eat, and the cream sauce was extremely bland – nothing to justify the price. You can easily make a sauce like this at home. Overall, the food wasn't bad; it was certainly edible. However, for a restaurant in this price range, we expect significantly more. Beautifully presented plates alone aren't enough if the taste, preparation, and value for money don't match up. Ultimately, the impression remains that very high prices are being charged for comparatively little culinary effort. After the truly excellent appetizer, we had high expectations, which the main courses unfortunately failed to meet. It's a shame, because the potential is definitely there.

11/06/2026: Cute little café. They serve brunch. We had lunch there. Wonderful vegetarian vegetable soup with beluga lentils (beautifully presented and served in a small glass jar). Very tasty and highly recommended. Afterwards, we had carrot cake. Delicious. I just found one type of gingerbread spice a bit too much. The espresso was strong, slightly acidic and bitter. Nice atmosphere. We sat outside. The chairs were very comfortable. The service was very friendly and not at all bothered that we don't speak French. We sat outside with our dog. I couldn't tell if he was allowed inside. They didn't offer us water for the dog. But they were quite busy. It's easy to eat outside with a stroller or wheelchair. Be careful, the sidewalk is a bit sloped. The café is located on a side street. Very little traffic.
