26/08/2024: We have just been to this restaurant. It is much bigger inside than you think. It has a covered garden and the food is great. I had a salad, but my husband and son had burgers. The waitress was delightful, friendly and so helpful, even though our French is terrible! The chips were the best we have had in France. Tasted like they were cooked in beef dripping. Service was great and the food was perfectly cooked, thanks to the chef. In an area where there isn't much selection of restaurants you'd have thought the prices would be higher. Great place many thanks for my cold milk with my tea !!

23/09/2024: Thank you to Isabelle and her husband for the very warm, very friendly welcome, their kindness and joy of living. We were immediately made to feel at ease. We would have thought we were at home 😁 Regarding the products: 100% fresh oysters, bouchot mussels, whelks, langoustines, etc....and work with the locals. Very positive points. It is imperative to taste the eclade of mussels which is the specialty of Charente-Maritime and their specialty. Rapper quality price. Perfectly reasonable. Place to recommend with your eyes closed. 20/08/2024: Concernant le restaurant : Le menu à 17.50 euros est très correct vu le prix. Les - : La terrine est bonne mais les feuilletés au Roqueforts sentent le surgelé (de bons surgelés mais tout de même...). Le serveur (qui semblait être le chef de la salle) est imbu de lui-même et désagréable. Sous prétexte d'aller vite, il est limite impoli avec les clients. A plusieurs reprises, nous l'avons observé répondre à une question d'un client en s'en allant ! hallucinant. Nous lui avons du demandé 2 fois une paille (+ 1 fois à un autre serveur) pour notre ado qui a un souci de motricité, il n'a pas caché son énervement. Il a ensuite été infect tout le repas en préférant le plus souvent envoyer ses serveurs pour nous éviter. Dingue ! Un manque de choix au niveau du plateau de fromage (3 seulement). Au moment de choisir le fromage, j'indique ce que je souhaite et le serveur me mets un fromage non souhaité dans mon assiette, sans me demander en me disant "goûtez celui-là au lait de brebis, il est excellent". Depuis quand un serveur donne un ordre à un client et lui impose quelque chose ? Qu'en sait il d'une éventuelle allergie du client au lait de brebis ? Avec un restaurant de cette réputation et des serviettes en tissu, les nappes en papier, c'est un peu abusé... Dernière chose, je sais que je fais mon chieur mais bon... Qu'est-ce que ça peut être agaçant de se voir imposée une carafe d'eau du robinet sans nous demander si on la souhaite, ou si on préfère de l'eau minérale plate ou gazeuse ! Les + : Les autres serveurs sont très sympas. Hormis le feuilleté au Roquefort (qui est plutôt correct, hein), le repas a été excellent. La langue de boeuf et les légumes sont très bons ; en fromage je vous conseille le roquefort qui est une tuerie. Le repas est très (trop) copieux. Pour un menu à 17.50 euros, le prix est plus que correct. L'ambiance du restaurant d'hôtel à l'ancienne est charmante, avec les serviettes à carreaux rouges et blancs. On se croirait presque dans un Maigret de Simenon. Voilà, donc à part ce chef de salle qui se la joue et irrespectueux, un bilan plus que correct. Nous avons passé un bon moment. Merci.

11/08/2024: Bonjour ,déjeuner le 11/08/24 avec ma Femme et des Amis nous étions 5 l'accueille était super , il nous on proposés de manger dehors mais trop chaud pour nous donc ouverture d'une salle ,quelle accueille ,sympa le repas est très bon je vous le recommande tous dans la bonne humeur ,le service un délice le serveur est très professionnel et super cool une belle joie de de vivre ,comme l'année dernière retour prévus pour l'an prochain ,bon appétit
