31/08/2026: During our day trip to the Maurienne Valley, visiting from the Tarentaise region, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Despite the late hour, we were able to have lunch. The portions were generous and featured excellent ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The ice cream sundaes were enormous! 😜 The service was quick despite a reduced staff due to the end of the season. The team was very friendly. The complimentary digestif was much appreciated (it's a shame we didn't get to try the owner's homemade génépi liqueur!). We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

11/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant and enjoyed every aspect of it. Visiting Lyon with our 4-year-old daughter, she was immediately offered a pasta dish. The decor is lovely, the service excellent, and the food delicious. Thank you for this meal, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

09/08/2026: A great spot for lunch with colleagues. The service is quick and very pleasant. Plus, it's nice (and increasingly rare) to be able to choose a starter and main course... or a main course and dessert for the same price. Three or four choices in each category—starter, main course, and dessert—is more than enough. And the menu changes frequently, so it doesn't get repetitive. A quiet terrace, away from the street, completes this lovely little picture.

08/08/2026: As a huge fan of black sesame, I absolutely had to try their flan. The result: a perfect balance between the creamy texture and the toasted sesame aroma, with a wonderfully crisp crust. Enjoying it in peace and quiet during my vacation was a real treat. I'll definitely be back!

26/08/2026: A very nice restaurant; we couldn't eat on the terrace, but the interior is also very pleasant. The tuna tataki was excellent. The young waitress was very cute. Nothing more to add. Go without hesitation!

21/08/2026: A lovely stop in Gruissan 🦪☀️ L’Estagnol was a delightful discovery! We had a wonderful time on the terrace, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The oysters were truly excellent 🦪 and the menu features a wide selection of fish. I particularly enjoyed the monkfish skewers wrapped in bacon and saffron: a flavorful and characterful combination. The welcome was just as pleasant: the owner greeted us with a smile, and that makes all the difference. 😊 And a special mention—because it's rare enough to be worth highlighting!—for the impeccably clean restrooms 👌😄 A place where you eat well, receive a warm welcome, and simply want to take your time. A delightful gourmet interlude in Gruissan… which we happily recommend! 🌊🦪❤️

29/08/2026: A really nice little bar with places to sit both inside and outside, good snacks, and especially friendly service from the welcoming and smiling Ursula who even offered to refill our water bottles with fresh water before we left. I highly recommend it 😋

02/09/2026: The staff's welcome was appalling. It was 4:45 PM and they threw me out like a criminal, telling me the site closed at 5 PM! I was very surprised because Google shows closing time as 6 PM. In short, I drove an hour for nothing... Avoid this place, as there are plenty of other beautiful castles to visit in the area!

10/07/2026: We ate there and spent the whole evening with friends, but apparently, the owner and his employees didn't consider us good enough customers (suckers) to be entitled to a carafe of water. Brilliant, especially during this heatwave! The waiter told us the carafe of water was difficult to return, but if we paid for a bottle of water, he could make the effort, right? We asked several times, and were met with refusals. They really think we're Americans.
