30/08/2026: A disaster! I've known this establishment since it opened and used to go there regularly because it was my favorite restaurant. The choice of appetizers was inappropriate for the season: a choice between liver and foie gras ballotine! Main courses: a default choice (we avoided the hamburger!): a completely dried-out Milanese veal cutlet that looked like a slice of ham between two thick layers of indigestible breading. Side dish: potato chips! Dessert: profiteroles: tasteless cold chocolate and equally tasteless vanilla ice cream loaded with ice crystals. The chef's comment: instead of expressing regret, he said, "There are only two of us instead of eight." In short, what's going on?

25/08/2026: It's a restaurant I hadn't been to for several years; it used to be a revamped and inventive bistro-style restaurant. My last experience was very disappointing; while the wine selection is still interesting, the menu lacks originality, the food is quite heavy, and it's still rather expensive.

18/05/2026: Our stay was a gift from a group of friends for my birthday. I had some preconceived notions, having stayed in similar establishments on the coast, particularly in Deauville... I expected to experience the same feeling... The Grand Hotel is certainly older, and its layout is different from other 5-star hotels... But that gives it an incredible charm. One can't help but feel a deep respect for places steeped in history.

16/05/2026: The hotel is well located in the center of Cabourg and has a sea view. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast, served on a terrace overlooking the sea, is plentiful and delicious. The prices of the menus and drinks are a bit high.

I called on Saturday afternoon to ask if they do have all-you-can-eat mussels on Sunday evening so I wouldn't make the trip for nothing (the one in Bonneuil was closed)... the answer was "of course, sir... and there are even all-you-can-eat fries..." Once there, after a 15-minute wait in a relatively empty room, they said, "We don't have all-you-can-eat mussels... we're overwhelmed." A joke... thanks for treating your customers like idiots.
