Arriving at 8 pm to an empty dining room, we decided to sit down anyway. We had come specifically for the méchoui (whole roasted lamb): the waiter confirmed it was available… only to serve us a merguez sausage, a rib steak, and a skewer (grilled meats, not a méchoui!). Their response? "It's written on the menu." €25 for a piece of méchoui? Seriously?
Slow service, unprofessional staff. Avoid if you're looking for a good restaurant in Colmar.

01/02/2026: Thank you to the El Bacha team for their warm welcome. We were a group of 15 celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious, Amine was fantastic—attentive, professional, and provided a perfect welcome; we felt right at home. I highly recommend them.

11/08/2026: Disappointed with our experience, we ordered a charcuterie board advertised for 4-5 people at €25, which seemed reasonable until it arrived at the table. There was very little of both the charcuterie and the cheese, only two varieties of cheese and a small piece of Comté that we had to cut into four pieces to share… in short, not great value for money.

But no, the welcome is very warm and friendly, the menu isn't too long, but it offers something for everyone. Reasonable prices. Meals made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, very good homemade food. Attentive service.

Everything was delicious, the dishes had incredible flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves throughout the entire meal.

The terrace at the back of the bar is very cozy and welcoming.
They have a great selection of beers (including non-alcoholic options), and you can borrow board games.
Another plus: dogs are allowed, and you can park your bike there 🚲
