29/04/2026: Flamboyant Gothic Architecture. Text: "The imposing façade of the Church of Saint-Séverin showcases the mastery of Flamboyant Gothic in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The detail of its bell tower and the tracery of the windows are living testaments to medieval Paris. An impeccable architectural marvel. The gargoyles of Saint-Séverin not only serve a drainage function, but are stone sentinels that have watched over the Latin Quarter for centuries. The preservation of these Gothic details is astonishing. A fascinating find inside Saint-Séverin: the plaque of Bertrand d'Ogeron, governor of Tortuga Island. It's incredible to see the 'Society of Filibusters and Buccaneers' mentioned in a Parisian church. Pure history. I loved the view from Rue Galande, where you can appreciate the full force of its Gothic architecture under the soft morning light." It's a corner that preserves the essence of old Paris, far from the tourist crowds and with a tranquility that invites you to pause. An architectural gem that deserves to be admired at leisure. After admiring the Church of Saint-Séverin, I stopped at the small cafes of the Latin Quarter.
