20/05/2026: I came for breakfast on April 28th. The setting is stunning. The food is delicious, and I must especially commend the eggs Benedict—the best in Paris! I would also like to thank Pauline, our host, who was lovely and always smiling from beginning to end. She went out of her way to provide us with the best possible service.

19/05/2026: An incredible experience shared with my wife. The setting is sumptuous. The room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner lived up to the restaurant's two Michelin stars, with sweetbreads and Wagyu beef cooked to perfection… We spent a truly timeless moment at this establishment. (Special mention to Mathieu who made our visit to the bar an unforgettable experience.)

19/05/2026: We had an absolutely perfect stay at Domaine de la Côte Saint-Jacques. The hotel is simply fantastic: the rooms are magnificent, the setting is peaceful, and everything is designed for the comfort and well-being of the guests. The restaurant service is exceptional: a truly memorable gourmet experience, dishes as beautiful as they are delicious, and staff of rare professionalism and kindness. A huge thank you to the entire team for this timeless moment. We will definitely be back!

24/05/2026: Positive point: A restaurant with a traditional setting, located in the heart of the forest. We received a warm welcome from the waitress. We ordered three cocktails, which were good, but rather expensive (€9-10)..... The tarte flambée was really good, but €11.50 is far too much. Negative point: Unfortunately, with all due respect, the salad was a disaster. It wasn't a culinary catastrophe, but €18? With 80% salad, five tiny pieces of salmon, a bit of citrus fruit, and asparagus straight from a jar... The salad wasn't fresh at all; I couldn't taste any freshness. It was lukewarm, even though it was 30°C outside. The "gourmet salad" came with tiny shrimp that you'd find in a supermarket, and Serrano ham that wasn't really Serrano ham. The cocktail sauce had no homemade taste whatsoever. Besides, we asked for bread, three small slices, which isn't much, so we asked for more, then two? There are three of us... Not two. Bread isn't the most expensive thing. Frankly, we were disappointed, even with that. We left, only half full, very disappointed.

19/05/2026: We celebrated our wedding on Saturday, May 16th at this superb restaurant, and we will cherish the unforgettable memories. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted by the delicious homemade savory appetizers offered by the establishment. The meal was exceptional, worthy of a fine dining experience: from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was homemade with meticulous care and exquisite taste. The vacherin, served with homemade ice cream, was incredible, and the wedding cakes were as beautiful as they were delicious. A huge congratulations to the pastry chef for her remarkable work! 😍 The entire team was impeccably kind and professional. The service was seamless, with no waiting between courses, and we were able to enjoy our day without ever feeling rushed to leave. Furthermore, the value for money was excellent! No one was disappointed. The entire team went out of their way to make the guests feel pampered. Thanks to them, this day was even more beautiful and successful. If you're looking for a place to celebrate an important event, go for it without hesitation: you can trust them completely 🥰

20/04/2026: We were very surprised by our experience at this restaurant, having gone in without hesitation given the good reviews. There was very little to recommend it in terms of food: dry bread, bland dishes, whole sprigs of rosemary in the starter, a veal cutlet with soggy breading, poorly washed razor clams (shellfish), tough asparagus... The water carafe was greasy. We were very disappointed.

24/05/2026: A very disappointing experience at Café du Commerce today. We came for lunch, even though it wasn't our first visit. Several tables were visible and seemed free, but a waitress in an orange uniform immediately told us, without even listening to us, that there was "no room for lunch." The problem isn't necessarily the lack of availability, but rather the manner: no tact, no politeness, no customer service. The waitress left immediately without trying to explain or offer an alternative. It's a shame, because this kind of attitude really makes you feel like you're bothering someone rather than being welcomed.

16/03/2026: We decided to have lunch (3 people) at this neighborhood restaurant after the Sunday morning market in Divonnes. The welcome was more or less friendly. I suppose they were overwhelmed by the influx of customers, and I sincerely hope that's the reason for our disastrous experience. To begin with, you need the patience of a saint to eat at this establishment. We opted for the €31 set menu and had to wait 45 minutes for our starters. I ordered the "Plate of cured ham and salad," which turned out to be a single, meager slice and a half of supermarket cured ham, accompanied by a salad that was certainly from the same source. My friends ordered the "Foie gras medallion" starter, which came with crushed, sliced ​​pieces of Harry's sliced ​​bread (a cook walked past the veranda with the package in his hand)... We also had to ask for our carafe of water three times after it was offered to us. The order of the courses was completely disorganized. After an interminable wait for the starter, the waiter left so quickly after the main course that I wasn't given a chance to order another glass of wine, and I had to watch my meat cool down while waiting to get another waiter's attention. On the plus side, my request for my meat to be cooked very rare was respected. The atmosphere was like a canteen, noisy and chaotic, with a large and equally noisy clientele. The prices for glasses of wine were exorbitant, at €14 a glass for a bottle that costs around €30-35 in stores… The waiter seemed overwhelmed and annoyed, responding to our requests impatiently. I understand that there can be unexpected rushes, but a little kindness and professionalism wouldn't go amiss. Despite the "reasonable" prices (set menu €31 + 2 glasses of wine €24), the experience wasn't even worth what I paid. In short, it was a very disappointing experience. I definitely don't recommend this restaurant (at least not on Sundays…) and I won't be going back anytime soon.

10/05/2026: What a shame, a real disappointment. What's advertised online—dishes and wine served by the pitcher—is no longer available. The wine was expensive, but thankfully good. I started exploring Chinese cuisine in England, and when I arrived in Nîmes, this restaurant, which used to be excellent, was no exception. To my great disappointment, that has changed. There were no bowls to eat from (the tableware wasn't suitable for Chinese food), and the portion of rice meant for two people was served in a bowl, but only for one. (The waitress said, "If that's not enough, I'll bring you more rice." (Why skimp on rice?) I'm not going to eat duck with rice on a flat plate! How can you do that with booths? The duck was overcooked with a thick soy sauce on top—no finesse whatsoever. The dessert, the pineapple, wasn't fresh, it was canned, and I don't know where it was flambéed.) The location is magnificent, but the food isn't what it used to be. And as for the lady who was serving: her inappropriate remarks certainly made her think we were lesbians, even though I'm gay. Inappropriate, and what was the point?

25/05/2026: After a lovely hot day in Pornic, we wanted a quick bite before leaving. We ordered buckwheat waffles somewhat randomly and they were delicious. I highly recommend this place.
