09/08/2026: The experience wasn't bad, but I can't say it was good either. We went to the place on three different occasions and, on all of them, we had a very similar impression. The sweets are tasty, well-made, and have a very interesting balance of flavors—there's definitely quality in what's served. Unfortunately, the service doesn't match the same level. Our French is quite limited, but we always try to communicate as best as possible, using the few words we know and trying to be polite. The problem is that, when we asked a question, the server didn't seem very willing to understand what we were trying to say, nor did she seem to make any effort to facilitate communication. On one of the visits, we arrived close to closing time, but the establishment was still open. We just wanted to buy a sweet to go, something quick. From the moment we entered, however, we had the feeling that we were bothering them. When we asked a question, I received practically a single word as an answer, spoken so softly that it sounded more like a whisper. We weren't expecting special treatment because we were close to closing time, just a little more cordiality. It's a shame, because when the product quality is good, even a minimally welcoming service could completely transform the experience—especially in a city that receives people from all over the world. Now, to be fair: the highlight of the night and the five stars go to the kitten! 😸 She was peacefully lying there and, when we approached, all she did was purr, cuddle, and be happy. Without saying a word—in French, English, or Portuguese—she managed to be, by far, the most communicative and friendly person in the place. 😂 The sweets would make us come back. The kitten, for sure, too. The service… unfortunately, still needs a lot of improvement.

05/08/2026: The waitress couldn't say a word in english but the worst was that she didn't seem to even try to help us... other than this EVERY pastry had 2 or 3 bees or bugs on it so that was disgusting and for sure bad hygiene for a food place

11/09/2026: We received a charming welcome. The dishes were excellent and sophisticated. I highly recommend the foie gras, which was superb and beautifully presented. Bravo.

24/08/2026: What a wonderful experience! We enjoyed it from beginning to end, and to top it all off, I don't usually like licorice, but I absolutely loved my trio of crème brûlées. THANK YOU! The price-quality ratio was more than reasonable, even very reasonable. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor; we had absolutely no complaints. We were delighted.

09/07/2026: Good experience: the food was good, and the staff and manager were friendly. As someone who loves peace and quiet, I appreciated coming when it wasn't very busy. However, many people ordered takeout, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food.

11/01/2026: We chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my two children, and we had a wonderful time. The service was pleasant and attentive, which greatly contributed to the convivial atmosphere of the meal. The waiter was smiling and friendly, which is always appreciated and immediately puts you at ease. As for the food, everything was delicious—flavorful, well-prepared dishes that were enjoyed by both my children and me. A truly wonderful experience from beginning to end.

28/05/2026: An absolutely perfect stay! ✨️ The overnight stay with dinner and breakfast was a first for us, the staff were incredibly attentive throughout, the amenities provided exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling completely refreshed! The complimentary bottle of chilled water for our journey home was especially appreciated in this heat 🥰

19/09/2026: I've rarely eaten such bland dishes, especially made with frozen ingredients. In short, the food didn't live up to the presentation of the menu or the friendliness of the staff. €21 for a dish I could have made myself much better... We weren't transported to Italy at all.

22/06/2026: Pros - Friendly, efficient English-speaking staff - Views from the rooms and spa were incredible - Excellent range of options at the breakfast buffet and opened at 06.30 so eat then get out for the day early - Able to use facilities of hotel on day of checkout. We were kindly allowed to use the spa and hotel showers on the afternoon after we had checked out at no additional cost. This meant we were able to run all day and freshen up before heading to the airport. A really nice touch as meant you could maximise time in Chamonix rather than wait for flight home. - Toiletries in the room were good quality (not overstocked so environmental friendly) and able to ask for items free if charge from reception - Great location close to town centre and short walk to bus stops/train station Cons - Mattress was very firm so found it quite uncomfortable (personal preference though) - No aircon: stayed in June and the room was uncomfortably hot to sleep and the road outside was a bit too noisy to leave the windows open overnight to cool things down. It was exceptionally hot weather however so likely a very occasional issue. - Limited hooks in the bedroom for coats etc - Drinks in the hotel bar were expensive - EUR12 for a 1664 Krongenbourg beer. Despite a few small cons, this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

22/07/2026: A huge disappointment. The dishes were bland (the melon and watermelon soup was tasteless, and the prawn risotto was like baby food). The previous team at Laïa produced much better food. Finally, there are more closely packed tables than before, making it noisy. The value for money is simply not there.

22/07/2026: The food was very good and the setting pleasant. However, the service left much to be desired: long waits, forgotten orders, and errors when the bill was presented.

08/09/2026: The food is just okay. The pastries are dry, and the bread doesn't taste fresh, at least midday when we got it.

02/09/2026: Delicious and incredibly affordable. The saleswomen are very friendly. You can find just about anything you could want. I even received a large, high-quality paper napkin without asking—how nice! It's also close to the Square des Arènes de Lutèce, perfect for buying pastries for a picnic.

19/05/2026: We had an absolutely perfect stay at Domaine de la Côte Saint-Jacques. The hotel is simply fantastic: the rooms are magnificent, the setting is peaceful, and everything is designed for the comfort and well-being of the guests. The restaurant service is exceptional: a truly memorable gourmet experience, dishes as beautiful as they are delicious, and staff of rare professionalism and kindness. A huge thank you to the entire team for this timeless moment. We will definitely be back!

19/05/2026: An incredible experience shared with my wife. The setting is sumptuous. The room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner lived up to the restaurant's two Michelin stars, with sweetbreads and Wagyu beef cooked to perfection… We spent a truly timeless moment at this establishment. (Special mention to Mathieu who made our visit to the bar an unforgettable experience.)

03/08/2026: Tasteless and small savory crepes. Ingredients were the same: three lettuce leaves as a garnish with no sauce. Presentation needs improvement. The sweet crepes were better. The pastry cream as a filling? Completely pointless. Unfriendly owner. In short, a disappointment.

24/06/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant. The quality of service, the dishes offered, and the value for money are second to none. I eat here at least three times a week and I've never been disappointed. An all-you-can-eat buffet at this price is rare these days. I really recommend you try it.
