19/06/2026: I wish we could unlock 6 stars. The restaurant is nestled off the Main Street, in a neighborhood right next to an idyllic church, taking us away from the bustle of the busy street. We didn’t have a reservation but they were accommodating with a wonderful spot, the menu made it difficult to choose - it ALL looked great. Excellent wine suggestion to pair with my sea bass. Already suggesting it to all my friends and network. We shall return!!

The flavors are authentic, and the portions are very generous. The welcome is warm, the staff is friendly, and the service is impeccable. You feel truly at ease in a pleasant and convivial atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a delightful experience enjoying excellent Moroccan cuisine. We will definitely be back! 🇲🇦❤️

02/10/2026: Beautifully situated! Excellent cuisine and very friendly and competent service. We had a lovely table in the tastefully decorated dining room. The restaurant next door is a bit more rustic, but still very cozy. In summer, there's a fantastic terrace, and if you're lucky, you can even get a seat on the lawn right under the old trees. You can often get a table without a reservation if you arrive early. Many local guests, which for me is a sure sign of quality. We'll definitely be back!

07/09/2026: Passing through Hazard with a huge appetite during the street fair, I discovered a delicious stir-fried noodle dish with shrimp! With the crowds in the street, I felt like I was in Asia. I highly recommend it.

02/10/2026: A good restaurant, but we were expecting a step above in terms of cuisine and flavor. For example, the focaccia was dry, and the dessert lacked balance (too much mozzarella). The dishes were good and well-executed, but didn't quite live up to expectations. Aside from that, the setting is very pleasant, and the waitresses were excellent. Unfortunately, for €100 for two without a bottle of wine, something was missing. Thank you anyway.

27/09/2026: A lovely little bistro along the Heron lake and in the heart of Villeneuve d'Ascq. The set menus are between 20 and 26 euros for a starter, main course, and dessert, which is very reasonable.

24/10/2026: Magnificent meal. We had the cod (fish of the day) and the filet, medium rare. Both were excellent. Starters were a green salad (excellent dressing) and the mini croque filet. The croque is a tiny appetizer, very tasty bread and a tiny portion of meat. I would pass on the croque and choose the pumpkin risotto as a starter. The croque was nice but the risotto looked better. The dessert was nothing short of incredible. The chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream was superb. SUPERB. The chocolate mouse was really fantastic. The mouse is accented by pistachio ice cream. The next time we would apply the chocolate ice cream rather than pistachio (we aren’t pistachio lovers) but it was still magnificent. We are returning after dinner tonight just to repeat the desserts! Great service, prompt kitchen, perfect seasoning. Highly recommended. If you are staying at Maison Bauchart, the walk is one minute up the hill. very convenient.
