30/08/2026: The service was half-hearted; I was seated at a table on the terrace with no view, even though it was 80% empty—a shame considering the view. The daily special was priced on the higher end of average, which is acceptable when the quality is there. "Chicken pavé with porcini mushroom sauce and sautéed potatoes" sounded good on paper... The "paquet" turned out to be a slice of roast turkey, the "sautéed potatoes" were four small new potatoes cut in half, neatly arranged on the plate and topped with chopped red onions and spring onion tops, and the sauce was barely there, perhaps a rather bland porcini mushroom jus. If there was any flavor at all, it was completely masked by the handful of commercially produced fried onions covering the sauce. "Onion sauce" would have been a more accurate description, given the small amount on the plate. Not a single insect except for a passing wasp during the meal, but when it came time to pay at the counter, the room was swarming with flies buzzing and wandering on the furniture, walls, and ceilings, and there was no visible equipment to combat the problem. Better to fast than stop; keep walking.

17/09/2026: A place where you feel good! 😊 Very good pizzas, the dough is excellent, the ingredients are fresh and of very high quality. The service was quick and very efficient. The owners and servers are friendly and smiling. The decor is stylish, the place is pleasant.

15/09/2026: It's a disgrace! A very disappointing experience during my visit on a Sunday. We waited over an hour for our order. When it finally arrived, it was incomplete, and we had to wait for the missing items. I also witnessed a situation that made me particularly uncomfortable: a young employee seemed very emotional and was crying while at the counter, in front of the customers. From my perspective, the working conditions seemed particularly difficult that day, with many customers and the service appearing to be struggling. I understand that Sundays can be busy and unforeseen circumstances can arise, but the wait of over an hour and the problems we encountered with our order significantly detracted from our experience. I also regret that no staff were readily available to answer our questions or complete our order.

14/09/2026: I've always been very well received at this restaurant, and the staff is pleasant. However, there's one recurring negative point: when I order veggie nuggets, I quite often receive regular nuggets instead. And that's exactly what just happened to me today: I ordered veggie nuggets and received regular ones. Sometimes the veggie nuggets are also put in regular boxes, which means I only realize the mistake once I get home. It's a shame, because it slightly detracts from the experience, despite everything else being very satisfactory. EDIT: There are still several issues with the veggie nuggets; I end up with chicken instead... It's a shame these kinds of problems occur when the staff is so nice.

01/06/2026: We tried the restaurant, which I recommend for its excellent value for money. I had booked for my husband's birthday and was a little disappointed with the table location... but the welcome was good and the service was adequate.

11/10/2026: Hello, I'm very surprised by the negative reviews. I came for lunch in September and October and discovered a restaurant with very generous portions and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it, and I will continue to come back with great pleasure.

14/09/2026: Fairly easy to find, but there's a lack of moving walkways for people with reduced mobility to get to Terminal 7 for boarding; it's too long and tiring.

13/09/2026: The airport is outdated. There are no more working escalators on the arrivals circuit.

19/08/2026: The servers were friendly. The pizza tasted like a store-bought pizza. The mussels and fries were good. The brioche bun on my hamburger was good, but I think it's time to change the oil in the fryer. The ice cream and gourmet coffees were good and generous portions. There's a children's play area with a zip line, net course, and playhouse. But it's in dire need of repair and bringing up to code. There are electrical cables sticking out of the ground right in the middle of the play area, the zip line is broken, and the rope on the rope bridge is broken on one side. It's a shame because it could really enhance the restaurant.

17/08/2026: 13.50 euros for "Napoli" tagliatelle: industrial pasta, sauce from Leclerc, no presentation, no seasoning, not even worthy of a bad school cafeteria. My companions ordered steak and fries: industrial steak and frozen fries, the bread was also frozen—in fact, everything was frozen—and despite all that, no effort was made...

27/09/2026: We ordered the €29 set menu: starter, main course, and dessert. Starter: grilled vegetables, which were basically two green bell pepper fillets swimming in oil, accompanied by two slices of mozzarella. And I do mean mozzarella, not buffalo mozzarella. For our main courses, we each ordered half a honey-glazed Cornish hen, which arrived with fries!!! and was undercooked, still pink. For dessert: we ordered what was pompously called a profiterole with a chocolate fondant, which was actually a stale choux pastry filled with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. The chocolate? We're still looking for it. When my husband went to pay, he was asked "if it was okay", to which he replied that he was very disappointed, he indicated the reasons by specifying that it was the 1st and last time we would set foot there and that we will continue in the future to go to the Brasserie and the Grand Café where we eat much better and for less money.

20/08/2026: The atmosphere was cold at first, but then the waitresses became very friendly. There was a problem with the head chef who verbally attacked the head waitress in front of the customers. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced.

22/09/2026: A lovely surprise: homemade savory tarts and friendly staff. Ideally located on a shaded square at the foot of the cathedral. Highly recommended.

17/09/2026: Beautiful location, good portions but food isn't exceptional. Service was attentive but it took nearly an hour to get food. The ambiance of the church and the outside seating is fantastic, definitely a reasonable choice.

14/09/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! The waitresses are unbearable, arrogant, and disrespectful! They should consider a career change. It's unacceptable that the 72-year-old cook finally brought us our food after a 45-minute wait, along with salt and pepper… a disgrace! Furthermore, the quality of the food is very disappointing. For me, it's a kitchen nightmare, and I don't even know if Philippe Etchebest could help them!

08/09/2026: On the way to Chambery we stopped for lunch at this restaurant, highly recommended for the quality of the cuisine, the service and the friendliness of the owner, absolutely reasonable prices.

20/09/2026: We wanted to order two pizzas to take away before service (the manager was watching TV), but he categorically refused, claiming we'd never eaten in the restaurant before. He can rest assured, we'll never be back. New residents of Royan.
