03/08/2026: I found this place on Google for my last meal in Paris, lunch. It's reasonably priced for Paris, and although I don't speak French, the service was good.

16/08/2026: So conflicted about whether to even leave a review for this place. Possibly the worst dining experience we have had during our week of travelling in Spain and France... ... but that may have mostly been down to our unsophisticated pallates, and poor menu choices (v.s. other items we may have liked better). Had our choices better suited our tastes, I'm sure we would have actually had a really good experience, and that's the basis of the 3-star score. Quenelle of chicken had the texture of blamanche and an indistinct flavour profile, and the andouillette had the look, smell, taste, texture and warmth of a freshly laid turd. Both were probably 'good' - but it was just a bit unexpected. The execution of the food seemed on-point, especially e.g. the sauces (which we would expect from a Lyonnaise bouchon), it's just we didn't really enjoy the dishes. Even the desserts were a bit 'meh'. Drinks were nothing to write home about (the quality of the wine by the glass was nothing above bang-average table wine, and the AF beer was the frankly abhorrent Kronenbourg). Service was good, and the staff very friendly and obliging, though clearly busy. I would note that the food came out extremely quickly (rather too quickly), with no real break between courses. Value was very good, for authentic Lyonnaise food. Note that the excellent value Menu des Canuts is also available in the evening. The establishment seems to be going for a kind of hybrid modern/shabby vibe, and I'm not sure I fully got it. Mixed furniture, crockery etc... OK, but two of the bowls my food was served in were chipped. Tables inside were small. There are lots of people who will bang on about, say Jane Austen, when, by most objective measures, she churned-out some pretty dreary works of little literary merit. Yet there she still sits, exalted, on her pedestal. The same metaphor probably applies to Lyonnaise cuisine, if this is anything to go by. If it's your thing, though, you could certainly do worse than give this place a try. You might like it; in fact you probably will. So a mixed review, let's say.

15/08/2026: Excellent Lyonnais bistro, the service is impeccable and fast. We had the set menu with starter, main course, and dessert, and all three were a success. Absolutely worth it.

11/10/2026: We came for lunch on the day of the street festival without a reservation, and we were able to get a table quickly despite the crowds. The menu was limited that day, but the dishes were excellent. The vol-au-vent had melt-in-your-mouth veal that was perfectly cooked, the beer-braised ham was incredibly tender, and the slice of Black Forest cake was generous and flavorful—the cake was perfectly soaked and the cherries plentiful. This was our first meal at this restaurant, and we will definitely be back. The staff was very responsive despite the restaurant being packed that day, and especially friendly with the customers. Thank you.

11/10/2026: We hired Lucas, the owner, and his entire team to cater our wedding this summer, and we couldn't have dreamed of a better experience! From our very first conversations, Lucas was extremely professional, attentive, available, and responsive. He perfectly understood our expectations and addressed our requests with great professionalism and kindness. On the big day, everything was absolutely perfect: the quality of the food, the service, the organization, and the attention paid to our guests. The whole team was fantastic and contributed greatly to the success of this magnificent day. We received nothing but compliments from our guests! Beyond this exceptional service, we also had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant as a family several times, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals each time. A huge thank you to Lucas and your entire team for your professionalism, kindness, and generosity.

26/10/2026: I flew to Paris for a short stay and there were many restaurants to choose from, and I chose yours and did not regret it. Yesterday I was simply delighted with everything, the dishes were very beautiful and delicious, it was cozy and warm inside and people were eating and laughing. I really admired how the waiter works, how he knows his business, he raised the mood, talked with everyone and was everywhere, I especially liked that he knows the dishes and recommends not only expensive ones, but also tasty and satisfying ones. Today I plan to come to Kalinka 😘

29/10/2026: The dishes are very good, well-prepared, and original, especially the classics (pizza, burgers, etc.). The welcome and service are very friendly, and the decor is very modern.

28/10/2026: I came with my Indian colleague, and he discovered pizza at its finest. And I must admit, the truffle version is excellent. The black crust was something I'd never seen or tasted before. I forgot to ask about the ingredients. I'll have to go back, lol. Suggestion for improvement: it would be nice to have an English menu.
