25/05/2026: I'm posting this comment because I don't understand these people who systematically criticize restaurants, and by extension, restaurant owners and their employees. I've eaten several times at La Peau Vache in Val d'Isère, both for family meals and business lunches, and I've never been disappointed. Perhaps these people who constantly criticize should change their approach to the staff and take into account the challenges of working in the restaurant industry. As for me, I've always been very well received and served. I highly recommend this establishment; the decor is exceptional, and the location is simply magnificent. A big thank you to the entire team for your professionalism and dedication.

26/04/2026: When you look at the menu and see such high prices, you expect a good meal, but unfortunately, the dishes absolutely do not live up to the prices. The roasted salmon was overcooked and dry, the mussels weren't even cleaned, and a €25 Poké Ball included salmon tartare and salad. For a Sunday lunchtime with few customers, we waited about 40 minutes between the end of our meal and the desserts being served. The tiramisu was extremely dry and must have been four or five days old. The chocolate fondant was good, but I have my doubts about the "homemade" claim on the menu. The total bill for four people (two adults and two children), with one dish shared by the children, came to €115. I've eaten at many real restaurants for much more reasonable prices and much more generous portions.

24/04/2026: Very good restaurant, very well run. The sauerkraut is still excellent. I recommend it. A very nice atmosphere.

23/12/2025: If I could give zero stars, this would be it. A restaurant I've frequented for a long time, and which until now has been impeccable… but my last experience was extremely disappointing! I had booked a meal for 20 people for an event two months in advance with the waiter. (Invitations ordered and sent) The owner met with me to discuss the reservation… not a very warm welcome… a very arrogant person… however, I went ahead with it… Two weeks ago, like many others, I learned that the restaurant was closing its doors but continuing to offer service for professional and private events. (My event wasn't affected per se.) However, I sent an email asking if my reservation was still valid and if the conditions remained the same… no response… I went to the restaurant, the waiter passed the message on to the owner, who asked me… I'm still waiting for a call back… So I booked my event elsewhere! The day before yesterday, a caterer called me back saying they were taking over the reservations… I had the pleasure of telling him I wasn't going to proceed and wished him the best of luck working with an establishment like that! An arrogant boss who manages his reservations terribly, doesn't bother to call his clients back, and I think he doesn't care about losing a table of 20 people… he probably doesn't care about that… In any case, he's off to a great start with his new venture! Avoid at all costs, because they've lost a lot of customers! No wonder the employees are coming and going like they do every day of the week…

The food is amazing, we come from Indonesia and having this local food fantastic: Cod Fish (, Beef Soup and Chicken with local material so good. We recommended to all of you, the local food hunter 😍 Lisieux so amazing and the restaurant must try

28/03/2026: For a post-burial gathering at the Corpont cemetery in Lanester, we walked to the Café des Arts, which was very convenient. We received a very warm welcome from the owner. The room above the bar was large enough to accommodate our group of 50. We all had a seat, and for €10 per person, we were very happy with the service. We enjoyed chocolate cakes, delicious fresh crêpes with a variety of jams, pound cake, and unlimited drinks: coffee, tea, wine, and fruit juice. The small lounges provided a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There were also tables available. The bar owner was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you for this lovely time; it was very enjoyable. Our whole family was very happy. Sincerely.

08/07/2026: I've ordered from this McDonald's several times. Between cold orders and vegetarian options not being respected, nothing is right. And the salad in the wraps is rotten. Wonderful for a €60 order.

14/07/2026: We ordered a pizza through the website with the €9.99 offer on all pizzas, but when we arrived to pick it up, we received medium pizzas even though we had paid an extra €3 for a large one. According to the employees, the pizza wasn't part of the offer and it was due to a website malfunction. So we were essentially ripped off for €6, and of course, no refund was possible, let alone any kind of compensation. You should teach your employees about customer service.

09/06/2026: The staff seemed rushed. They wore glasses and didn't understand much French. The pizza was made hastily. The dough was hard. It looked like it had been made several days ago. It's the worst Domino's pizza of my life!!!

05/08/2026: We are regulars at this café. Every time we're in Lyon, we're always delighted to come here for breakfast, and until now we'd never been disappointed. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was quite different. As indicated online and on the café's window, opening time is 8:00 a.m. So we arrived at that time. Two young women were there: one barely glanced at us before walking past, without any real welcome. We were then told that the café wouldn't actually open until 9:30 a.m. because "nothing was ready," even though the terrace was set up, the doors were wide open, and everything suggested that the establishment was open. It's a real shame, because we had such a great impression of this place. For our last visit to Lyon before leaving, we unfortunately left with a big disappointment. We hope that the posted opening hours will be updated and that the reception will regain the quality that made us want to return on each visit…

03/08/2026: Very disappointed. We simply asked to replace the scrambled eggs with an omelet for our two two-and-a-half-year-old daughters. The waitress went to ask the chef, who was smoking right in front of us. Without even coming to see us, he curtly replied, "No." I asked the waitress if it was really impossible, specifying that they were two two-and-a-half-year-olds. The answer: "No." It was a Monday at 9:45 a.m., and the restaurant was empty. It wasn't a complicated request, nor was it a busy time. This complete lack of flexibility and customer service is hard to understand. Such a curt response to such a simple request, especially concerning young children, is frankly disappointing.

11/08/2026: It's swarming with flies everywhere, especially on the pizzas!! Something has to be done, and fast!! If hygiene is even an option…🤦🏻‍♂️

19/07/2026: Ordered 8 pizzas, 3 people got sick. Beyond the fact that the pizzas were very mediocre in quality, skimpy, and lacking salt, the ingredients didn't seem fresh... hygiene needs improvement. Simply unacceptable. A first time there that we'll never repeat. Avoid this place if you don't want food poisoning.

03/07/2026: 2 coffees and 2 hot chocolates for €19. If they see you're not French, they'll rip you off. It's hard to find a worse coffee or a smaller hot chocolate.

13/04/2026: I regularly come to this shop to buy my cigarettes. But the welcome is always very cold; the shopkeeper is unfriendly and gives the impression that we're bothering him (to put it politely). He clearly lacks patience with his customers. It's a shame because a little smile and respect would make all the difference! I feel uncomfortable every time I go there, but really only because it's near my home.
