01/07/2026: Having booked some time ago, we arrived well after closing time. Despite this late arrival (which was anticipated when we booked), everything was already in place to welcome us. A remarkable meal awaited us. All we had to do was reheat it and enjoy. We had two very pleasant adjoining double rooms with an extraordinary view of the "Lake," namely the Lot River, held back a few kilometers downstream by a dam. The restful night was most welcome. There was no noise at all. It was perfect. Breakfast was of the same high quality. This friendly, family atmosphere is thanks to Justine and Anthony, our hosts, whom we thank for their kindness, their helpfulness, and the quality of their service.

30/07/2026: This restaurant had been recommended to us, but we unfortunately left disappointed. At €50 for a four-course menu, the price seemed reasonable. However, given the establishment's positioning, we expected much more attentive service. From the very first course, there was no presentation whatsoever. This was rectified later by a staff member. The presentation of the second course was rushed, the fourth was adequate, and no explanation was given for the dessert. Several details also gave an impression of a lack of care: the bread plates were still full of crumbs and were used as a base for the dessert coulis, the aperitif glasses hadn't been cleared even though the wine had already been poured, and the wait between courses was far too long. It wasn't all bad, though. The wine recommendation was excellent, as was the homemade sangria. Regarding the dishes, the zucchini accompanying the fish was undercooked, but that remains a subjective opinion. Overall, the plates were quite well presented. Finally, we were told the bill would arrive. After waiting about five minutes without any news, we had to go to the counter to pay. I imagine the employee sensed our annoyance, since she didn't ask us how our evening had gone. We won't be going back. That said, given the numerous positive reviews, I think this is probably an isolated incident and that this type of problem is occasional. Nevertheless, I feel it's important to bring these points to light so they can be taken into account and corrected for future customers. The goal isn't to criticize the establishment, but to share an experience that I hope will contribute to improving the quality of service.

26/07/2026: We had booked a table at this restaurant located in a beautiful house in the historic heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. We opted for an indoor table in a lovely dining room, which must be particularly pleasant in winter. The dishes we chose were excellent and original, from the amuse-bouche (which we didn't know about beforehand) to the dessert. The wines by the glass were very good. In addition, we would add that the service was professional and also lively, which we appreciated. We highly recommend this restaurant.

05/09/2026: Great restaurant. Everything was awesome. The tiger steak was great and the dessert was excellent. Make sure to reserve days in advance, specially if going on a Saturday. The atmosphere is very nice.

11/08/2026: This restaurant is the best I've ever been to! Patrick, the owner, is super friendly. A truly great cook (and pastry chef!)! A true artist! He's passionate about his work, but also very down-to-earth and approachable. His partner, Kéra, is very graceful and always smiling. She deserves a lot of credit because she's a night-shift caregiver in a nursing home and she also works as a waitress at the restaurant. Respect, Madam! I know this restaurant well now and I'll be going back soon. When my friends and I say "let's go to Patrick's for dinner," it's already a pleasure even before we arrive!
