18/05/2026: A wonderfully run small hotel with newly renovated rooms and very comfortable beds, right in the center of Turckheim, and featuring an excellent restaurant. Every course of the menu was a pure delight; you can order perfectly paired wines, which further enhances the experience. Perfect service, very good breakfast. Wonderfully quiet at night. The train station is only 400 meters away. Free parking is available Friday through Wednesday at the Place de la Republique, 300 meters away.

04/09/2026: Excellent products at a more than affordable price! The student menu is a real steal! The portions are more than generous, the products are good and high-quality, everything is homemade, and a piece of fruit or coffee is included in addition to the generous meal. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend it! It's a shame we can only give 5 stars.

12/10/2026: I think I've eaten in many restaurants. But I wanted to return to Lume because it was, for me, the best restaurant I'd ever eaten at. The menu featured ingredients I don't usually love. And wow, once again, I was blown away. Everything is designed to make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive: an intimate setting, few tables so everyone has their own space, and a simple yet very attentive welcome. And then the journey begins! Innovative dishes, daring combinations and compositions. The flavor of each ingredient, each spice, bursts delicately in the mouth. The wines suggested to accompany this menu are perfect, the pairings meticulously crafted. We left the table completely satisfied and without wanting to eat again, unlike sometimes in fine dining establishments. Cooking is an art. But the chef at Lume has gone even further... Congratulations to you both for what you've created. A magical place hidden in Bordeaux.

23/10/2026: On the recommendation of a guidebook, we had lunch at this bistro-style restaurant with an open kitchen. A warm welcome, simple yet beautifully presented cuisine featuring well-cooked, simple ingredients, all delicious and attractively plated. Lunch menu €27 (starter, main course, dessert). Extensive wine list available! Some wines are served by the glass. Excellent value for money, very good, simple and efficient.

19/08/2026: That evening, when we confirmed our order, we were told in an irritated tone, "Well, yes, that's what you asked for, so that's what I'm doing!" Except the price quoted didn't match the price displayed: it jumped from €4.15 to €5.30 for one item. Instead of apologizing, the waitress removed the price tag, claiming her colleagues had used the wrong label that morning (even though it was the correct product name), and then snapped at us, "It's still €5.30!" before we could even ask anything. This is false advertising, and the business owner must honor the displayed price. Especially given the disrespectful way we were treated.

04/09/2026: I've been going to this place for years, and I've found that the quality has declined over time. The new menu isn't as appealing as the old one, and the food isn't as good either. Prices are going up... but the overall experience has become disappointing. The service is inconsistent, depending on the server.

30/08/2026: Originally came for brunch, but it's not available during August. In the end, I ordered a good burger, cooked just right. The restaurant has a pleasant terrace and the staff are friendly.

04/10/2026: The appetizers (warm goat cheese salad and bone marrow) were very good, but the main course (rib-eye steaks) was completely inedible—the meat was extremely tough and rubbery. When we pointed out the problem, the waiter acknowledged the issue and promised to remove one rib-eye steak from the bill. Instead, both steaks were charged, and only two glasses of wine were deducted. It's not about the money, but going back on one's word like that is completely dishonest and unprofessional.

04/10/2026: To the young man from Bordeaux who sold us this place as the epitome of culinary bliss: blink twice if you're being held hostage by management. We arrived at precisely 12:05, a table of six, the restaurant before the lunch rush. An ideal setup for hoping to eat there that same day, you might say. Rookie mistake! While our order was taken with the illusion of efficiency, what followed was a fascinating experiment in the relativity of time. Twenty minutes for the appetizers (time to sow and harvest the raw vegetables, no doubt), then another thirty minutes for our main courses. We had ordered rare and medium-rare meats, but I imagine we had to negotiate with the farmer first. Faced with the heartwarming sight of all the other tables served before us, I had to summon my last reserves of energy to organize a search party and check if our order hadn't somehow been sent to another dimension. Then came the highlight of the show: the meat. Of course, there was no follow-up to check if it was cooked to our liking. They really should have, though, as my duck breast had clearly sought refuge in a crematorium oven. Special mention goes to the waiter who, faced with the disaster at the end of the meal, offered us this theory worthy of a Nobel Prize in Thermodynamics: "You should have told me, I'll give it back to you in two minutes when it's like that!" Sure! Everyone knows that recooking an overcooked duck breast actually brings it back to life. A level of professionalism as utterly useless as the duck itself. This same waiter, who apparently mistook Fashion Week for a restaurant, sporting a ripped hem in his jeans at eye level, was particularly arousing when taking our order… As for dessert, my "cheese plate" materialized as six measly tiny cubes of Comté cheese. I'm still undecided: was I being punished for my impatience, or had the accounting department launched a drastic austerity plan to balance the books at the end of the year? A quick word about another waiter, otherwise very friendly, but who seemed to be fueled by white flour. His rapid-fire speech would make an auctioneer blush: four questions a second, without ever bothering to ask our answers. Paradoxically, what did manage to land on our plates was good. But if I want to enjoy a truly excellent meal while witnessing a space-time anomaly sprinkled with absurdity, next time I'd rather have a picnic in the prefecture's waiting room. Working in the restaurant industry myself, I believe that the servers' presentation, attitude, and quality of service are paramount, even before the service itself. And unfortunately, I didn't find those hallmarks that are so important to me.

16/10/2026: Lunch today with a friend at Le Vieux Morsent restaurant: excellent welcome, seating, quality and quantity of food, a lively and smiling waitress who was proactive and responsive, all in a warm atmosphere with tasteful decor. Importantly, the spacious and well-soundproofed dining room allows you to eat and chat without having to raise your voice to hear each other or be disturbed by a din. A very good place to eat, with convenient parking.

12/10/2026: Very disappointed. Having visited several times two years ago and one year ago, we found the exact same menu... The puff pastry was very dry (snails), the main course was bland, the shrimp tasteless, and the portion sizes had shrunk... Furthermore, the owner cleared our plates before everyone had finished their appetizer or main course... We got the impression she was eager for us to leave... I had left an excellent review at the time, with photos, but I'm so disappointed now that I have no choice but to change it. The only positive point was the very friendly waitress. I will not be returning.
