09/08/2026: Came in on a Sunday morning for a coffee on the terrace. What a disaster! An overwhelmed waiter, my order for a coffee and a Perrier arrived 30 minutes later. The order turned out to be incorrect. There was a piece of plastic in the Perrier (half a slice, of course...). I went over to the two guys at the bar, and they condescendingly told me they were overwhelmed, laughing along with their friends. When you consider how many bars and restaurants try to do a clean and respectful job... this place is a far cry from that! I'm a native of Lille, and I've rarely encountered such awful waiters and service.

31/07/2026: So, how can I put it? We came for the second night in a row. The waiter was friendly, the food was okay, nothing special. The problem was that there was a mistake with my husband's ice cream flavor. When we got to the register, we pointed it out. The cashier didn't react at all! No apology! She handed us the bill, without any discount on the ice cream, and we told her we'd just come from the cinema (so normally a 10% discount). But unfortunately, we hadn't kept the cinema ticket. Almost rudely, she told us she wouldn't give us a discount since we didn't have written proof that we'd been to the cinema. Okay, fine, we're willing to accept that, but the cost of the ice cream? No way! Oh yes, I forgot, yesterday I ordered extra fries and sauce that never arrived… In short, I don't recommend this restaurant!

19/08/2026: Great restaurant, well worth a visit. The set menu for 18 euros is incredibly generous, including a cheese platter, dessert, and coffee. Quick service. I highly recommend it.

And excellent cuisine—congratulations to the chef! We recommend this restaurant for a very pleasant time with family or friends on the weekend. (Because I only had the weekend 😁). Remember to book to avoid waiting.

31/08/2026: My opinion and experience. The place has very interesting decor, is very clean, and well-ventilated. You can choose between a terrace or indoor seating. The service is very friendly and attentive, speaking French, English, and Spanish (they made an effort to serve us in Spanish despite not being fluent). There's a great variety of dishes to choose from. The place offers drinks, cocktails, and more. The portions are generous; the L'argument burger was excellent, as was the Caesar salad and the poke bowl. For dessert, we had dark chocolate mousse inside a fine white chocolate sphere. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place.

14/08/2026: A very pleasant place, the welcome is warm, the dishes are carefully prepared with fresh ingredients, the service is quick without being rushed – flawless in every respect. (Even the restrooms are designed with customer comfort in mind). Go without hesitation, whether you're a local or just passing through (less than 2 km from the motorway but in the peaceful countryside).

26/06/2026: It's a joy to come to Le Lanternier. That terrace in summer, that delicious, generous cuisine. I come to Le Lanternier regularly and it's always a treat. It's become my favorite spot.

10/08/2026: Influenced by reviews, we ate at this restaurant on Saturday evening. The appearance and color of the sushi looked suspicious, but it didn't raise any red flags. We should have paid closer attention because my friend and I suffered from stomach aches and food poisoning. As for the service, it was very slow: I do not recommend it.

25/07/2026: Nice at first glance. The food is good, but the service is completely lacking. The waiter had little experience. €400 per table, complimentary after-dinner drink? "NO," what a shame.

29/07/2026: Such a nice lunch spot. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. They were so tasty and full of flavor. The portion size was also so good, we couldn’t even finish them. The vibe and feel of the cafe is the definition of Parisian, so if definitely a huge recommendation.

25/08/2026: Excellent dinner, atmosphere and service! On a Monday when everything seemed closed we discovered Les Louis. The tarte tatin: 10 points! We had dinner between 2: anchovy and artichoke salad and duck breast with honey sauce accompanied by an unforgettable red wine. Merci!

21/08/2026: Given all the positive reviews for this restaurant, we were very surprised by our experience. The biggest negative point of our evening was the wait; an hour passed between our arrival and the service of our food, even though the terraces were open but the interior was closed. Perhaps they were understaffed? But we received no explanation. Apparently, our request for extra seasoning didn't sit well with one of the waiters, who made an inappropriate remark. As for the dishes, they were classic, made with what were probably industrial ingredients; which contrasts sharply with the prices (€14 for two small goat cheese toasts). In closing, we would still like to thank Chantal for her cheerfulness and service. The restaurant's location is also ideal, and the building itself is very charming.
