15/12/2024: I went on an open run without a reservation. I wanted to eat a duck steak two days ago, so I enjoyed it. The olives on the table were delicious, and the whole wheat bread between the baguettes was delicious. The duck steak and mashed potatoes went well together. I wanted to say it was really delicious, but I couldn't!

What expertise! A refined cuisine, the dishes are excellent right down to the vegetables which are sublime, only excellent local products. The bread is homemade.
As for the service, very professional, knows his job, a lot of kindness.
Very nice establishment.
Just one piece of advice: you absolutely must discover...

I have nothing to complain about the service or the atmosphere of the restaurant,
It’s more about hygiene or cooking
I had a tartare, thinking that everything was going to be ok, given the reviews of the place
Wasn't my surprise when the same evening (1-2 hours after the meal), I started to have symptoms of food poisoning
Given that I hadn’t eaten anything “risky” that day, I’m sure it came from hippopotamus!
Thanks to you, I spent the worst weekend of my life, being sick.
Moral, don't take the tartare!
29/09/2024: They never respect the ordering instructions, there were 6 of us and two of us asked for their burgers without onions there were some, 2 others did not have the sauces requested (me only bothering for the burgers) why not listening to what the customer asks???
Otherwise the servers were rather pleasant.

09/09/2024: Place chosen by chance while passing by to see “the spoon”, just perfect place! Mojito very good, tapas a delight, the meats were tender (duck breast and tender steak perfect!!), fragrant...the home fries don't taste like oil! Everything was perfect thank you! Top service, staff

08/07/2025: Second visit to this restaurant, which we discovered last year. Always a great satisfaction. The wood pigeon was excellent, cooked to perfection, the lamb sweetbreads, the lamb, the duck breast... each dish is a success. Pleasant service and welcome.
03/07/2025: One waiter, one chef - perfect execution. It’s not always you find a menu where you want to try everything. We were in a group of 5 with everyone ordering something different. Chef is very versatile as each dish from fish to lamb to pork to pigeon was very pleasurable.

30/11/2024: We went to lunch as a family. What a great discovery! Everyone had a great time, little ones, big ones and grandparents! Excellent, tasty home cooking. Fish or meat of your choice. For us land and sea menu. With a memorable cassoulet as a main course and a scallop gratin as a starter. With a bar very well stocked with whiskey and rum and an equally well-stocked cellar, it's a pleasure. Let's not forget the staff, pleasant and accommodating. We had a very good time for value for money. Just a shame that the facade and the entrance do not reflect the quality of the preparations and dressings, above all don't stop at that, go for it!

25/10/2024: Il faut avoir goûté au moins une fois dans sa vie la palombe aux deux cuissons ( rôtie et en salmi) du Bayonnais!! Pour ma part cela fait 20 ans que je sacrifie à ce rituel et je trouve que le chef se bonifie année après année !!
Un grand moment : cette année nous avons pu l’accompagner d’une poêlée de cèpes. Arrosé d’un petit Graves on atteint la perfection, cela vaut pour moi tous les 3* de la terre , sans parler de l’addition, vraiment raisonnable !!
Je recommande vraiment à tout gourmet digne de ce nom !!

Generous portions.
The only downside is that the staff seems understaffed.

The only downside is that there is no shade in the parking lot and it is too small, so we have to find a place along the road...
