08/09/2026: Simply delicious: bowls with fresh fruit and crunchy granola, fresh juices and excellent coffee – a great way to start the day. We'll definitely be back.

15/09/2026: Tasty tacos with authentic corn tortillas. The only downside is that the tortillas fall apart, making them difficult to eat properly.

09/09/2026: The tortilla was undercooked, the meat was just chunks of gelatin, and the portions were small for the price. A taco or a qesadilla costs less than €3.

03/10/2026: Super friendly staff. The food is really good. I had toasted country bread with duck, apple, and salad. It was incredibly delicious. You absolutely have to go. It's a bit hidden away, but highly recommended.

31/05/2026: It was a small cafe, and it was incredibly hot inside, so we packed some to go and ate at the hotel. We ordered sandwiches with sliced ​​meat (very tasty!), a burger (good), and a plate with four patties (the meat was a bit dry, I wouldn't recommend it). Dinner for three cost €40.

28/08/2026: The owner's welcome was deplorable. He's not in the restaurant business, he's just a businessman. He's very friendly with his friends who come to eat there, but unpleasant and rushed with other customers. The pizzas are good and large, and the service is good when it's provided by his employees, who are pleasant.

We had the pleasure of trying different dishes, and they were all excellent! I wanted to thank the owner for his kindness to my daughter (his friend). Even though the restaurant was full, the owner managed to find us a table. Professional and knows how to keep customers! Keep up the good work, because that's rare these days... 02/10/2026: I went to this restaurant to try their specialty, Aubrac beef, and I wasn't disappointed. The service was attentive and very quick, the meat was succulent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I even received a free postcard.

30/09/2026: Anu (May have spelled that incorrectly) was a great and attentive server. Even though we spoke little French, he understood and served us well. First time eating frog legs and they were so good! The food here was delicious!!

21/08/2026: I read all of the previous reviews and was exciting on going but was I was surprised at the “ pushy” server . I noticed a table next to us walk out as they felt the vibe and decided to leave after they were told that they did not order “ enough “ . I have to say I ( we) managed to get past the aggressive/ pushy behavior to still enjoy our evening . It is a-shame as the restaurant is perfectly located and has a nice authentic feel plus the food was outstanding. We shared the the shrimp / lobster appetizer which was tasty and beautifully presented . I had the octopus which was to die for and my wife had the lamb which was outstanding . We had the wine that our waiter “ pushed “ which was on the higher end but very good . Again, I want to emphasize if you are expecting a welcoming warm experience then Franchin should not be your choice . If you can look past that and just focus on the food , you will be fine .

19/08/2026: Booked a table for 8pm on my last night in Nice. Sat down, ordered a beer and a Coke (the Coke was to have with my meal), and only then was I told the two dishes I’d come for were sold out (2/3 of the meat options, at the beginning of evening service…). Nothing mentioned when I booked, nothing when I was seated. Since the Coke hadn’t been touched and I’d only ordered it to go with food, I asked if they’d take it off the bill, to be told ‘If you order it, you pay for it.’ Kitchens run out of things - that is fine. But not telling anyone until they’ve sat down and ordered, then arguing over a soft drink isn’t great. This is about principle, not money. Paid up and (very luckily) managed to get a reservation elsewhere.

11/10/2026: Excellent little restaurant. Short but high-quality menu. Pleasant service.

10/10/2026: The food was generally very good, although the tournedos Rossini was a disappointment, as the meat was quite tough and sinewy. However, the welcome and service did not seem to live up to the restaurant's Gault&Millau rating. The service was particularly rigid, with little flexibility in handling requests. The minced steak on the children's menu, for example, could only be served well-done, with no possibility of adjustment. We were also surprised by the reservation system: tables marked as reserved appeared to be available just a few minutes later. This gives the impression of inconsistency in customer service. Finally, we witnessed two customers, despite having reservations, being refused service because they were accompanied by a small dog. We understand that the establishment may have a policy regarding pets, but this situation, combined with the other issues, contributed to a general impression of rigidity and inflexibility. In short, the food was good, but the overall experience was disappointing in terms of the welcome and service. We expected more consideration, consistency and a sense of hospitality in view of the restaurant's positioning.

12/10/2026: I went on Saturday and frankly I'm very disappointed. The fries were cold and unsalted, the hamburger was cold and not good at all, the wait was too long, and the toilets were dirty. Really not great, very unhappy, I don't recommend it 😏🙁😡
