20/09/2026: Warm welcome and pleasant waitress. Friendly atmosphere. We were four friends, we had drinks and two delicious appetizers. Our friend thoroughly enjoyed her vegetarian dish. My two friends and I were very disappointed with the paella. It was almost black, a bit dry, and had an American taste... a shame about that, because the reviews are good.

22/10/2026: We arrived at 7:30 pm and were greeted with a smile. We placed our order, and within 15 minutes the food and drinks were on the table. The food was delicious, I highly recommend it! 👍🏼

21/09/2026: A simple, authentic inn with excellent value for money. The Auberge du Chêne is an accommodation where the name itself tells you what to expect: a simple, traditional inn in an older building. Therefore, you shouldn't expect the standards of a modern 3-star hotel. For me, as a motorcyclist, there was a major plus: behind the building is a free, secure parking area where I could easily park my motorcycle. The evening meal, prepared by the owners themselves, was a particular highlight. Simple, down-to-earth, and very pleasant. The owner is exceptionally friendly, communicative, and enjoys taking time for his guests. He is supported by his very friendly wife, who attentively looks after the guests. Breakfast is also perfectly adequate – though again rather basic and without any frills. Of course, the old building shows its age. Here and there are the minor quirks that come with such a building, and you shouldn't expect the same level of cleanliness as a modern hotel. This is something you should know before booking. My conclusion: If you're looking for simple, authentic, and affordable accommodation and don't expect any special amenities, this is a good place to stay. The warm and welcoming hosts, the good dinner, and the free, secure parking for motorcycles make the Auberge quite attractive for travelers passing through. For what's offered, the price-performance ratio is very good – you just need to arrive with the right expectations.

And let's not forget the entire kitchen team who work behind the scenes and do a remarkable job every day. I also wanted to congratulate the restaurant on its magnificent new decor: natural colors, a warm atmosphere, and a splendid setting where you feel right at home. 16/09/2026: A wonderful experience at this welcoming and charming restaurant, with delicious food! During a business trip, our team of 16 had a fantastic time! The owner impressed us with her warm welcome, excellent service, and flexibility. As for the dishes prepared by the chef, they were excellent, fresh, and flavorful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely return if we're ever in the area again :) I highly recommend it!

25/09/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious mussels and fries, with a special mention for the excellent fresh fries. For dessert, we had a tasty pineapple crepe with a thin, flavorful batter and two scoops of ice cream, one of which was a very original violet flavor. A great place to stop when visiting Carantec.
