27/05/2026: While camping at his son's place, Jean-Pierre took us to the family restaurant in the village. The charcuterie was excellent, and the bruccio and mint omelet was a wonderful discovery. To finish, we enjoyed a chestnut cake and a small glass of homemade myrtle liqueur. The owner gave us a very warm welcome. If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to stop by.

04/05/2026: We stopped by chance on our way back to Ajaccio around 7:30 pm. We received a wonderful welcome with roses 🌹 Jean-Pierre is warm and friendly. We felt right at home; everything was perfect. Beautiful and delicious food. We highly recommend Jean-Pierre!

02/06/2026: A wonderful discovery! We had dinner at L’Angelo, a family-run restaurant called Elle est dans la porte, just the way we like them. Here, there are no unnecessary frills: simple, generous, homemade cuisine, and above all, bursting with flavor. The mother, 61, is still at the stove with admirable energy. Her sister takes care of the appetizers and desserts, while her son provides service with professionalism and kindness. You can feel a genuine passion and a beautiful family bond. The dishes are beautifully presented, the ingredients expertly prepared, the cooking perfectly executed, and the flavors are spot on. Special mention goes to the perfectly cooked fish and the fresh, well-balanced appetizers. An authentic establishment where you eat very well, far removed from marketing concepts and soulless chains. A place that deserves to be known and supported. We will gladly return. Well done to the whole family!

08/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, in a quiet setting. Very good food. Generous dessert coffee. I highly recommend it. The chef comes to check on you to make sure everything is alright, which is worth mentioning because it's not common practice anymore. Be aware that you need to book in advance, otherwise it's full on the spot.

07/05/2026: A gastronomic gem with unbeatable value for money! I've rarely enjoyed a lunch menu of this quality at such a reasonable price. Starter, main course, and dessert for only €20! L'Ecuelle d'Or is definitely worth a visit to Clairac, this charming little town, admittedly a bit isolated, but very pleasant. With this level of culinary mastery, you absolutely must (re)discover this establishment where gastronomy truly comes to life. To top it all off, the welcome is extremely pleasant, both warm and familial. A must-visit in the Lot-et-Garonne (department 47)!

17/05/2026: Pleasant place, friendly welcome... but don't be put off by the tight stock management... hummus with Moroccan bread, but the second basket with white bread... four-cheese bruschetta with mini ham rolls, even though we're in the land of ham... a generous slice of ham would have been perfect. It's a shame because the welcome is warm and you feel comfortable there.
