04/11/2025: A lovely little restaurant. The owner, Tony, was able to accommodate my wife's strict diet. And the dishes, generous and appetizing, are all homemade. Frankly, we don't come to Cannes often, but we'll definitely go back next time.

14/01/2026: There's a reason why the Auberge de Mestre Elie has existed for over 60 years, despite being located in a hamlet of a dozen houses, at the very end of a 9km departmental road that takes you from 700m to 1400m altitude. There's a reason why it has been featured several times on regional and national news programs (and continues to be). It's because it's magnificent! The location is incredible, the charming hamlet of Bouchanières, on the edge of the Mercantour National Park. Its pretty little church, its view over the Var Valley via the Daluis Gorges... The welcome is warm and friendly; the hostess is so welcoming and kind. And of course, the food is superb, from start to finish, with a special mention for Eliane's ravioli, whether you choose the walnut or meat sauce (and I recommend ordering both if you're a large group)... The best ravioli in the world! In short, it's definitely worth the trip, which is why it's still going strong after all these years, even though it's a bit of a drive to get there. It's truly worth it. If you go, you're in luck. Call ahead to make sure the Auberge is open (which it usually is, but double-check and let them know you're coming). And while you're there, take the opportunity to visit the Bouchanières honey farm (run by another family), and explore this beautiful area, see the church, and so on.

26/01/2026: A very friendly place, excellent service, a great selection of quality products, the coffee, charcuterie boards, and cocktails are superb, as is the staff. Beautiful terrace, can be booked for private events, close to the beach so it's fantastic day and night. Dogs and children are welcome, laid-back, seaside, relaxing, just like home. I love it.

08/02/2026: Under new ownership since early February 2026, this is exactly the kind of place I like to go to, everyone is friendly, the food is top-notch and you can eat there quickly at lunchtime, perfect!

11/04/2026: Amazing wine, amazing wine shop, the waitresses are kind and seem to love what they do. We wanted to come here for a month, and we finally did. My French is terrible, but they still tried to help me request the wine and ask for the bottle. We love this place!

27/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome. We ordered several different things, all of which were delicious. I recommend the shrimp noodles, the assorted steamed dishes (all incredible!), the Cantonese rice (particularly good), and the chicken spring rolls (excellent). The quality is consistently high, and the takeaway containers are generously sized. We will definitely be back; it's a pleasure to have such a good restaurant in the area.

06/03/2026: I ordered a Ramen (pork) meal with 5 gyozas for €16.50, to take away. The service was quick and efficient; my order was ready in no time. The food was excellent: a flavorful and aromatic broth, and perfectly browned gyozas. Good value for money.
