28/09/2024: Class! Everyone here is highly motivated and doing a great job. Compliment. From the kitchen to the service. We had the Corsican menu and can only recommend it. It's a shame that we stay so short, otherwise we would have definitely tried the pizza, which looked delicious and inviting. Bravo, keep it up! 👍

25/09/2024: Advised by a friend, we passed by at 11:30 a.m. and thought it was closed. But a member of staff who was there confirmed to us that it was open. On the other hand, it was better to book. Simple card. The kids went for pasta. The adults between Burger (in Pan bagnat type bread), Sautéed Veal (with polenta) and Canelloni with Broccio: all the dishes were not only very very good but also generously garnished. We came away won over, and indeed, at a quarter past twelve, places were difficult to find. The service was attentive, and we were among friends so we didn't pay particular attention to the atmosphere. Some original aperitifs.

26/09/2024: La Calade is een pareltje in het mooie Blauvac. Een klein maar prachtig gelegen restaurant met een fantastisch uitzicht en vooral een fantastische keuken. De chefkok munt uit in het bedenken van creatieve combinaties die ook bijzonder fraai worden geserveerd. Kunstwerken op je bord. Het verrassingsmenu wisselt regelmatig en is steeds van een hoge kwaliteit. Wij adviseren onze gasten in onze chambres d'hotes Les Terrasses de Cascavelle maar al te graat om dit restaurant te bezoeken. En deze keer gingen we zelf en hadden daar geen spijt van.

27/08/2024: Magnifique restaurant à tous points de vue. Autant au niveau de sa situation, du contenu des assiettes que de l’accueil charmant du couple de propriétaires. Un petit bémol cependant au niveau de la communication pas très efficace mais pour le reste une très jolie table servant des plats inventifs, goûteux et magnifiquement présentés. Vraiment recommandable! Le service se faisant à l’extérieur attention cependant à la météo et munissez vous d’une petite laine, voire d’une plus grosse en cas de doute.

10/09/2024: Après 2 excellents repas tests au Grand Arbre, nous avons décidé d'y organiser notre repas de mariage (25 personnes). Nous avons été extrêmement bien accompagnés par Mme Gounel et ses équipes (espaces mis à disposition, élaboration du menu, boissons, tarifs, éléments que nous pouvions ramener...). Tout correspondait à nos attentes ! Le jour J, nous avons pris un copieux apéritif sur une des terrasses extérieures (à l'écart des autres clients du restaurant). Dès le départ, nos invités se sont régalés avec les différentes bouchées proposées (accras, poulpe, saumon, foie gras, magret, pois chiches, courgettes...). Nous avons ensuite été installés dans la magnifique salle de restaurant (dans laquelle nous avions pu préalablement installer des compositions florales sur les tables, marques places, dragées...). Menu au choix du chef + vin: entrée (foie gras), poisson (loup), viande (veau), pièce montée revisitée. Aucune fausse note: tout était excellent ! Le service était impeccable (présent quand il le fallait et efficace). Encore merci pour votre accueil et à bientôt : nous reviendrons, c'est certain !

02/12/2024: Lovely place with great food. Really off the beaten track, but a good place to stop if you are passing by. We had a really good quiche with fresh salad and fried potatoes. All very good 😊

A friendly welcome, without fuss (I spent my evening asking what dishes were available to come back and try them later!). Nice little touches: appetizers, limoncello and beautifully garnished plates. Selection of top daily specials and superb desserts. Fair prices for Nice. A stone's throw from Place Masséna. A word of advice Remember to book, it's quite small. I'll come back and try the other dishes that everyone wants! Nb - I think it's better than before and its previous owner who was very good too: it's less noisy, tables more spaced apart and open more often.
