15/05/2026: I discovered Le Vieux Bourg in Bourg-la-Reine and was honestly a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, truly capturing the spirit of a neighborhood brasserie where you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The staff is welcoming and smiling, and the service is efficient. The dishes are generous and well-prepared, with a special mention for the meats and the traditional Southwestern specialties. The terrace is lovely, the atmosphere is great, and the value for money is very reasonable. A really cool place to spend a great time with friends or family, with a truly authentic atmosphere that's becoming increasingly rare. I highly recommend it! 👍

09/04/2026: We dined early so only one other couple dining. However, the waiter was friendly and helpful but with limited English. We ordered wine and pizza and both were excellent. Wine was pot luck as we couldn't explain dry white wine. Again all good, the house white was quite acceptable and a reasonable price. Available in a glass, carafe or bottle. Our pizza, plenty for two, was a chorizo and egg on a tomato base with mozzarella. Really delicious. All round, an excellent meal.

06/06/2026: What a shame! We had such fond memories of this restaurant, where we had lunch four years ago. Unfortunately, our experience this time around didn't live up to expectations. For example, the fries in our fish and chips were reheated and not crispy, even though they made up half the dish. Customers who arrived after us were served well before us, which gives you an idea of ​​the efficiency of the kitchen logistics. The service was good, though. I hope this was just a one-off, because it's a shame to tarnish such a great memory, especially given the wide variety of restaurants in Amboise.

The food was exceptional, the presentation sublime with beautiful floral touches, and my new tables were also stunning. The waiter was incredibly kind. The complimentary cocktail and glass of wine were much appreciated. Our taste buds were delighted by flavors that were sometimes unexpected but always delicious. We will definitely be back and will recommend you. Thank you for this special moment in our family life. We don't get many, but this was truly exceptional.
