23/08/2026: We were craving moules frites (mussels and fries), and it was the only restaurant on the port that offered them. We ordered mussels with Bleu d'Auvergne cheese. We were very disappointed; the mussels weren't properly shelled and were small, in large shells. The sauce was bland, and we couldn't taste the Bleu cheese at all. However, the desserts were excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. One small drawback: we had to fight off wasps throughout the entire meal.

09/08/2026: My wife had to go to the hairdresser. We were early. We sat down on the terrace. We had a drink. She went to the hairdresser. I decided to grab a bite to eat. I ordered. It was good. I ordered dessert, why not? That was good too. A gnat in my beer didn't bother me too much, so I asked for a small spoon to get rid of it. They told me never, and brought me another beer. Oh well. I had planned to take a walk around the neighborhood, but in the end I just lazed around on the terrace. There you have it. Go ahead.

22/07/2026: Downward spiraling. We regularly come to this pizzeria and knew the previous owner. We were disappointed because the crust was undercooked and flat. The previous menu featured airy pizza dough, which wasn't the case here. We waited an hour for three pizzas… probably due to takeout orders?

11/08/2026: One of the most famous restaurants in Chambéry) You can find it among the top places in this town. That's why there are no free tables in the evening! You should really reserve a place on Friday night or on holidays. It would be hard to find a good table without booking. A great location close to Curial Centre, and a 3 to 5-minute walk to the Old Town. The best wines and delicious food are here! The menu contains a small selection of French dishes, but every course is classic for this region. You can wait long enough for your dish, so it's a good idea to order a glass of wine and local snacks, which are quite good. I ordered the Savoy onglet steak, a local cheese selection with nuts (Assiette de fromages), and a glass of red Savoy wine, and I paid 41.5 euros for my dinner. Prices are typical for this part of Chambéry. My food had a truly mouthwatering smell and taste! Onglet steak was something! What about the atmosphere? You feel the vibe of a classic French restaurant with a modest interior, simple table settings, quiet music, busy waitstaff, and delicious food. What else do you need to enjoy yourself on a hot summer night? Visit L'Atelier to feel the real taste of France.
