27/04/2026: Frankly, it was quite an unpleasant experience today. I'm pregnant, so I was simply sitting outside with my husband while my friend went inside to buy drinks—she spent about €20. When she returned, just a few seconds later, a waiter came over to tell us that the water bottles weren't for on-premises consumption and even removed the ashtray before my husband had finished. I understand that there might be rules, but the way they handled it was frankly clumsy and unnecessarily abrupt. A little more patience and courtesy would have been more than enough, especially given the circumstances. It's a shame, because this kind of behavior gives a very bad impression.

06/07/2026: Outrageous experience at the Irish Café. Run for your lives! I have rarely seen an establishment display such contempt for its customers. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was icy, and everyone we dealt with was unpleasant, haughty, and unprofessional. While I was with people who were already eating or drinking there, I was refused a simple glass of water. An incomprehensible and particularly petty attitude. Yet, Article L541-15-10 of the French Environmental Code stipulates that drinking water must be provided free of charge to customers of food establishments. Refusing water under these circumstances demonstrates a complete lack of customer service. What makes the situation even more absurd is that it's July, with temperatures exceeding 31°C (88°F). Refusing a simple glass of water in such conditions demonstrates a total lack of consideration for customers. The worst part was when it came time to pay. When I tried to pay with my Ticket Restaurant card, I was met with a particularly aggressive refusal. The person there literally ripped the card reader out of my hand. This disrespectful, humiliating, and completely unacceptable behavior from a professional. As if that weren't enough, one of my colleagues ordered a cappuccino, which she found utterly disgusting. A poor-quality drink, served in an already extremely unpleasant setting. Between the appalling welcome, the refusal to offer a glass of water in the middle of a heatwave, the aggressive attitude at the checkout, and the mediocre quality of the drinks, this establishment has every possible flaw. Honestly, I don't understand how this place is still in business today or how it can retain any customers with such poor service. Thankfully, there are many much more welcoming and respectful cafes in the area. A shameful experience from beginning to end. I will never set foot in that place again and I strongly advise against going there. In response to your reply: Thank you for your reply. However, I would like to clarify several points. Firstly, I was with colleagues who were eating and drinking there. In this context, refusing a simple glass of water, especially during a period of intense heat (over 31°C), genuinely surprised me. In France, establishments serving drinks are legally required to offer free drinking water to their customers, without the possibility of refusal or being charged. I have attached a screenshot to support my statement (Article L541-15-10 of the Environmental Code). I don't understand why I was refused a glass of water and offered Vittel, which is not free. Regarding payment, restaurant voucher cards are accepted for the purchase of non-alcoholic beverages, which was the case for me as I ordered an iced tea. However, it wasn't the refusal itself that bothered me, but the way it was expressed. The gesture of abruptly removing the card reader was perceived as disrespectful and contributed to the unpleasant feeling I experienced. Regarding the cappuccino, my colleague didn't comment immediately. That doesn't change the fact that she found it bad and was disappointed. Finally, while we didn't experience the situation in the same way, I maintain that the welcome and our interactions didn't make us feel welcome, and judging by your negative reviews, we're all saying the same thing, so perhaps you should reconsider your approach. My colleague wanted to order a glass of water, and the waiter told her that they didn't dispense water glasses and that you absolutely had to order something to get one. She ended up ordering a Fuze Tea and didn't even get a glass of water in the end. I ordered a cappuccino, which turned out to be disgusting; I couldn't even drink it. 14/07/2026: The service was terrible. I was there on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The waitress was slow. I ordered a soya beignets appetizer and an eru cassava couscous. The appetizer arrived 40 minutes after I asked when it would be ready. For five minutes, I noticed the beignets hadn't arrived. I asked the waitress, "Where are my beignets?" She replied, "Oh, there aren't any beignets. The cook said there aren't any beignets." The service was awful. Sometimes I can go months without going, but since I don't live in Strasbourg, it's always the same. You'll never see me in your restaurant again. On top of that, the person next to me left because they'd been waiting for beignets for an hour. The worst part is, they take orders knowing they don't have certain items. I gave you one star. because we can't publish without giving at least one star 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

11/07/2026: This is the third time I've ordered and for the third time I'm disappointed because I received a small fish and not enough garnish. Try to improve this aspect; even if the fish is small, at least focus on the side dish.

02/09/2025: It's unacceptable that a waitress is left to manage the entire service alone, with only one cook in the kitchen. You can tell they're doing their best despite the staff shortage, and I sincerely thank the waitress for her friendliness and warm welcome. However, the organization clearly needs to be reviewed to ensure a better experience for both customers and staff.

13/07/2026: A lovely little patisserie right opposite the cathedral. There's some seating available, as well as good coffee and delicious cakes. The baguettes, chocolates, pâtés, and quiches are also very tasty.

08/07/2026: I had a takeaway espresso which was good. However, the small coffee éclair was €3.30 to go compared to €4.30 to eat in. I didn't understand the big difference... anyway! But above all, it had no taste! I'm disappointed! Luckily I got it to go!

14/07/2026: ⭐⭐ I've always been very satisfied with La Tour de Pise, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back. A delivery was scheduled for 8:30 pm, but we had to wait until 9 pm. We were told that the pizzas had already been in the car during a previous delivery. I think the ham and cheese didn't hold up well in the heat. I've been sick ever since. It's a real shame, because until now I'd never been disappointed. I was very disappointed by the behavior of this new person at the counter; no "Good evening," no "Goodbye," a total and unpleasant lack of respect.

12/07/2026: Everything was very good, efficient, and friendly; however, the takeaway salad had far too much vinegar for the container! This unfortunately made my croutons soggy. Otherwise, the salad was fresh and the dressing was very good! (Any mistake is forgivable 😊) I recommend it.
