29/06/2026: Gelato with many flavors, very well made, and a space outside to sit and eat after ordering at the counter. There's no table service and the tables are rather rustic, but the gelato is delicious and worth the stop!

07/03/2026: This bar is ideal for a quiet chat as it's very often empty. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

16/05/2026: The owner NEVER, EVER, EVER says hello. Sprite with a very weak shot of Aperol. Pizza burger without burger sauce. Ice cream made and left on the counter for over 10 minutes. Increasingly disappointing quality. For us, it was the last time.

11/05/2026: Disappointing food: poorly cleaned beef tongue, hot sauce reduced to a tomato coulis with tobacco. The French toast for dessert was limited to a slice of toasted brioche with a scoop of ice cream. The restrooms were barely clean. A point in favor of the waiter who did what he could.

31/05/2026: Taking a trip up to 1800 meters in the off-season is a bold move that I fully embraced, simply to experience the resort in a way I'd never seen it before during my ski holidays at the Hotel Valérie. And since I felt so comfortable there, with guaranteed lodging and meals, in such a warm atmosphere, I inevitably return, like a pilgrimage, just to relive moments I'll never forget.

20/03/2026: Catastrophic experience. Extremely unpleasant welcome, even with our daughters present. After an 8.5-hour drive, we arrived to dirty rooms (they hadn't been vacuumed). Simply asking for a broom made the manager get angry, reluctantly cleaned one room, and we had to clean our daughters' room ourselves. There was no shower screen in the bathtub, so water flooded the entire bathroom when we showered. I understand it's a 2-star hotel with basic standards, but cleanliness and, above all, basic courtesy are the bare minimum for a service-oriented business. Positive point: idyllic location and very white, clean towels. Breakfast was adequate but equivalent to that of an Ibis Budget, so €8-9 max. -> EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED! (It has potential, though. They need to change management and give it a fresh start, and it would be great.) What a shame... Saving for eight months for a ski holiday and being treated like this. Truly disappointing. Especially since I'm a regular at Montgenèvre, which is a family-friendly resort with a great atmosphere...

06/09/2026: The welcome was truly appalling. The small woman with glasses was extremely unpleasant to us. Several tables were available on the terrace, but she refused to seat us without any real explanation. Her attitude made us so uncomfortable that we ultimately decided to leave. We clearly felt we were being treated differently, with an attitude that seemed borderline racist. Very disappointing. We will not be returning.

26/07/2026: Worst experience so far I have had in my life. Its best to give a negative rating . There was a mouse in my room. And I was a solo traveller. I had to request them to change my room in midnight. For which They asked me to come down to reception to collect the keys. Then I had to shift my luggage midnight. The cleaners use to open the door directly and they didnt realized that someone was there. Lift was not working and we had to literally carry the luggage by stairs. The black lady at the reception didnt know how to smile and was very cold. And most importantly when I checked out , I had to keep my luggage with them. For which they said usually its not free, but they will allow to keep the luggage only if I give them 5 star google rating. No water, no oven, No fridge nothing.

12/07/2026: Not worth the price. Check in and check out process is disgusting. Only 2 people for 100s of people checking in. I had to collect my bags and they asked me we cant give you your bags wait in the line that took forever! The rooms are also not as good. Aircon does not work. No charging spots close to bed or table and didn’t work properly. Most staff can’t speak english which makes it so frustrating to communicate. The gps location will also take you to another country. They need to fix it

12/09/2026: We came this morning to buy some pastries and unfortunately encountered a young saleswoman who was incredibly slow: very slow, clumsy, and clearly dragging her feet. But the most disturbing thing was her attitude and lack of respect for customers. We really felt like we were bothering her more than anything else, as if our presence annoyed her. I sincerely hope the managers see this message, because a saleswoman with such an attitude makes you absolutely not want to come back and is more likely to drive customers away. A truly unpleasant experience. If you're suicidal, I don't recommend this bakery... otherwise, you might just go through with it! 😅

09/09/2026: Might as well walk 500 meters to the mill... We arrived with my son, and one of the two girls was incredibly rude, touching all the pastries with her fake nails without using any tongs (we don't know what she might have been doing beforehand), giving us dirty looks and no goodbye. Among the pastries we bought was a doughnut that was so hard you could have thrown it against a wall and it would have gone right through! It was rock hard, a doughnut that crumbled—have you ever seen one like it? I tasted it, and it had clearly been sitting there for several days. In short, a disgrace.

12/07/2026: I bought one slice of Coke, one of pissaladière, one of stuffed vegetables, and one of daube/ravioli. Okay, but nothing special. Some of the packaging is plastic. They need to reconsider their environmental practices. They don't take credit cards! Unbelievable. I don't think I would have gotten a receipt if I had asked for one. They don't have a cash register because the woman serving does the math in her head... You get the picture.

27/09/2026: A very negative experience at Le Calumet in Pontaillac. The meat was extremely tough, full of gristle, and frankly inedible. The service was cold, and the staff acted like they were bothering them. An establishment to avoid. For a starter: 4 whelks and 4 shrimp

21/07/2026: I bought a sandwich at noon, and when I got home I noticed it was made with stale bread (the outside was hard and the inside was crumbly). How is that possible in a bakery?

07/07/2026: Excellent sandwich on traditional sesame bread, breaded chicken, and avocado, at an affordable price compared to Parisian prices. Pleasantly surprised.

15/05/2026: The bedding was very average and the room could use a refresh. That said, it was clean. We were on half-board. The soup was delicious and very filling. But even after a long hike, the meal was far too heavy: a starter after the soup, then a large sauerkraut, then a tart. The sauerkraut was frankly a disaster, with undercooked potatoes in particular. A shame. They should have made less, but better.

11/05/2026: Regarding the restaurant only: very disappointing compared to a few years ago in terms of the quality of the food offered...is it because it wasn't peak winter or summer season? We had lunch on a Saturday in May (the weekend of May 8th) with beautiful weather, but the dining room was completely empty between 12:00 and 1:30 pm. The dish (onion tart) was clearly not fresh, poorly reheated in the microwave, with industrial tomato sauce covering the fleischnakas, and the blueberry tart was also not fresh...with high prices, and to top it all off! Upon checking, the bill showed three errors in the prices, all in their favor. The explanation given: "I haven't had time to change the prices on the menu"...yeah, right...! We demanded a refund. We certainly won't be going back, even though we had fond memories of it and were happy to return...but that was before...

18/08/2026: Run away, please!!!!! The food is not fresh (it's at least one, maybe even three days old, as I've had dry and definitely not fresh food before), it's extremely expensive for nothing, they add extra portions and when you point it out they get angry, the set menus are not worth it, outside of the "set menus" it's impossible to get a simple plate for less than 13 euros (just a small one, mind you)... The service is HORRIBLE: a dismissive, unpleasant woman who doesn't listen or hear, just like an assembly line, no welcome, no consideration for the customer. I didn't like my experience at all and I will never go back in my life.

30/06/2026: Don't listen to the negative reviews! The prices are more than reasonable, the food delicious, and the service pleasant. We loved it and we'll be back!
