The cons: the food: firstly, it's a self-service restaurant, and secondly, the food selection is basic, incomparable to most mountain restaurants in Megève—for example—yet the prices reflect those of mountain restaurants. That said, the food is quite well cooked, coffee aside. Note a comment made today to an English-speaking customer: the manager is anti-Trump to the point of boycotting Coca-Cola. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even to the point of missing Khamenei, but it seems to me that in business, one should refrain from sharing it.

03/08/2026: This is my third time here, and there are always problems at the drive-thru. Between taking the order and receiving the meals, there are consistently mistakes: either the meal size is incorrect, or the sandwich is the wrong one. Furthermore, please stop serving Egg & Cheese that are rock hard, as if they've been cooked for hours. This is unacceptable for products that are supposed to be served fresh.

27/07/2026: I'm not rating the pizzeria itself, but the atmosphere around it. For several years now, groups of young people have been gathering in front of and around the pizzeria, from Monday to Sunday. They make a lot of noise, talk very loudly, shout, play music, leave their cars running, argue, and sometimes fights break out. Even after closing time, this can continue until 4 or 5 in the morning. For the residents of the neighborhood, it has become very difficult to live with, especially for those who work early in the morning. It's often impossible to sleep or even leave the windows open because of the noise. The most worrying thing is that many residents don't dare say anything for fear of reprisals. We've already called the police, but they are certainly very busy and can't always respond. I hope a solution will be found so that the residents can finally regain some peace and quiet.

15/04/2026: *Here I'm not reviewing the restaurant/bar itself, but the regulars.* These people are noisy day and night. They prevent people working from home from having any peace and quiet. They cause a disturbance late into the night (even after the bar closes at 9 PM). They're the only group you can hear on the entire Rue des Lilas. They stay late (sometimes until 3 AM in the summer) making noise in front of this establishment, which is supposed to have closed by 9 PM. This is disruptive for the neighbors and for the people living in the nearby buildings. The owner has absolutely no control over the situation, and the regulars have no respect for the neighbors. They think they own the place and can do whatever they want, without respecting anyone.

18/07/2026: I urge the manager of this McDonald's to better supervise their team, especially the manager, who seems completely out of his depth. Order placed on July 17, 2026, at 6:37 PM. After a long wait, I had to leave my table to go and ask for our meal. The manager finally handed me the tray, but all the food was cold. I pointed out the problem to him. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, he turned on his heel and asked a colleague to handle it. Being a manager isn't just about getting paid; it's also about taking responsibility. In my opinion, he's not suited for this position, and the employees seem to have realized this, since they're doing whatever they want. During the hour we were there, some people took up to three breaks. A very disappointing experience.

17/07/2026: Disastrous service. I waited for my order for over 40 minutes. They told me they'd thrown it away and were making another one, but they did nothing. 20 minutes later, they finally gave it to us, but it was takeaway and lukewarm, even though we had ordered it in. The manager was unpleasant.

15/07/2026: It had been a long time since I'd eaten there and I'm disappointed by the change in the recipe of my favorite pizza.

If they're in a bad mood, they slam the door in your face, saying it's closed, that it's about to close, that it's full. Zero professionalism. If you're not white or blond, you can bet they'll make you wait before telling you you can't come in…

10/07/2026: My friend, who has a disability (paraplegia), was refused entry because apparently there was no room for him. However, after a few minutes of negotiation, we clearly saw that the establishment was letting eight people in right after us… using the pretext of limited space and then saying that he would, and I quote, “be walked all over.” I have never seen anything like it in my life. It's gratuitous and dishonest discrimination. Legal action will be taken. A disgrace, an establishment to avoid at all costs…

01/08/2026: When will this place finally close down and be taken over by someone who knows how to manage staff and start from scratch, given the disastrous commercial, culinary, and aesthetic experiences at this establishment? Go to Solaize, Chasse, or even Vienne instead, but never to Chaponnay; you'll regret it.

30/07/2026: I usually go to this McDonald's and I've never had a problem, but today I was shocked. In 35-degree heat, I decided to eat outside because I have a 2-month-old baby. The air conditioning was incredibly strong, there was one open parasol, and three out of four tables were plugged in. I sat near the second parasol because I also have a 2-year-old who's a bit of a nuisance, so I thought I'd ask if they could open the parasol. Other people were arriving, and no one came to tell me no, so I stayed in the sun. A group of three arrived and also asked for the parasol to be opened. The man told them NO, there was shade over there... so we were forced to sit right next to other people to avoid the sun. Bravo to you! And don't tell me it doesn't open! Anyway, 2 stars for the two ladies who served.
