29/10/2026: I had already visited this restaurant eleven years prior and had mixed feelings about it. In September, I decided to try it again with some friends. In the meantime, the restaurant had earned a second Michelin star. So it was time to go back, and we were so glad we did. While my first visit had left me with mixed feelings, this one was excellent in every way: the service, the atmosphere, and, above all, the food. As for the food, there wasn't a single false note. I never would have thought I could fall in love with kohlrabi, and yet! Special mention must also be made of the remarkable work with the vegetables and the balance of acidity. Other highlights of the meal included the sweetbreads, a dish for which I am particularly demanding, as well as an absolutely incredible pigeon. On the dessert front, the first course was one of the highlights of the meal. So yes, at €258, the menu represents a significant expense. Nevertheless, compared to the prices charged by other two-Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, the value for money is remarkable. I've dined at much more expensive restaurants that didn't give me nearly as much pleasure. One thing is certain: this time, I won't wait eleven years before going back.

03/10/2026: I was disappointed with my experience at Basta Cosi. I had heard good things about it in the past, but it's clear that the quality has declined. The pizza was good but basic; the ingredients used weren't high quality and lacked flavor. The dough was very difficult to cut. The tomato tatin was tiny and uninteresting; it was greasy, and the pickled onions weren't marinated enough. My biggest disappointment was the dessert. An Italian restaurant wouldn't be complete without tiramisu, but I've had much better. Here, it was mostly sponge cake, and not even soaked enough. The essence of tiramisu lies in the cream, and unfortunately, I was left wanting more. The service was a bit slow, and we didn't have the same waiter from beginning to end, but they were all pleasant and smiling. Finally, regarding the atmosphere, the background music combined with the noise from the terrace could be quite unbearable at times. In short, I was planning to stop over in Italy but I certainly wouldn't recommend the trip.

04/10/2026: This restaurant is my favorite in Sarreguemines. Everything is perfect: the decor, the service, and the delicious food. Absolutely flawless! Between the menu and the daily specials, which change every two or three days, whether you're in the mood for pasta, meat, pizza, or seafood, you'll find something to your liking. For me, there's no comparison. A restaurant? Yes, but Vesuvio! ☺️😘

03/10/2026: We've been coming here every month for several years now. It's always just as good. The staff is friendly and welcoming, attentive to our every whim. The daily specials add a bit of variety to the menu, which hasn't changed much. But who said the menu needed to change? The dishes are delicious and homemade. Even though the kitchen is open to the restaurant, no smells spoil our experience. The salmon cordon bleu is definitely worth trying!

02/10/2026: An enchanting setting for a delightful time! The architecture is charming and typical, the outdoor space is magnificent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is friendly and, despite the somewhat slow service, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. A great place to discover in Berrias-et-Casteljau!
