12/04/2026: A huge disappointment today. The staff were completely overwhelmed, both in the kitchen and serving. We were asked to sit down, but we quickly realized they had forgotten about us. After asking for our plates, which were sitting on the counter, we found our burger and fries were cold, and the steaks were undercooked.
05/04/2026: It's always a treat. Everything is delicious, and above all, the ingredients are excellent, from the main course to the dessert. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. And of course, what makes it all worthwhile is the friendly service.

And you'll also regularly come across truly exceptional dishes. Special mention goes to the fragrant and delicate jellies and mousses. The decor is warm and the service is attentive without being intrusive.
08/04/2026: A Tale of Water and O… Having traveled the world extensively, I hadn't yet seen my son-in-law in person, and his visit to Paris warranted a trip to "Le Sot l'y laisse," a restaurant I'd known for a long time without ever having set foot in it or indulged my palate, which had been waiting for the right moment. That moment arrived at noon. And the result was immediate. All the praise I'd heard was confirmed in the dishes, served not only with relish and generosity, but also with a taste, a charm, and a creativity that allowed me to rediscover flavors I thought were lost forever. Each dish is a vibrant tableau of colours, a still life that resurrects a florilegium of delicious smells that we manage to separate thanks to the near perfection of the cooking, (especially for the pork which alone is worth the trip to the 11th arrondissement), a boldness in the compositions (ah, those mini snaked choux!), and a simplicity in everything that contributes to making this lunch a unique and impeccable moment. Whether it was the sea bass carpaccio with seaweed, the truffled mille-feuille with its authentic vanilla quenelle, or the sublime faux fried egg where the yolk is made from kumquats candied by the chef on a bed of jelly infused with the same mini oriental mandarins, without the slightest hint of acidity, and the white is a kind of airy Chantilly cream concealing a mango sorbet that makes you think you're eating concentrated mango, our palates were treated for a good hour and a half to a truly masterful Franco-Japanese recital, conducted by a true culinary giant. The service, discreet yet impeccable, was of the same high caliber. And the bill was perfectly reasonable considering what was offered in this astonishing set lunch menu, which included three Easter bells on Good Friday, a day I was nonetheless busy with: starter, main course, dessert. Neither O nor I ordered wine, so the bill remained reasonable with our sparkling water. When I was young—I should say "little"—I thought it was spelled "solilesse"... 24/04/2026: Never trust a restaurant that tries to force you into tipping. As if the Applebee's-esque cocktail menu didn't give it away, they'll try to force you into adding a 10/15/20% tip playing off the US tipping culture. Tipping culture is an American phenomenon and shady establishments will try to take advantage of tourists. Stay away. Besides, the food is not good. There are literally hundreds of infinitely better cafes nearby. Avoid this place!
10/04/2026: One of the most beautiful cafes in Paris, certainly the best one we have experienced. If you want great ambience and great conversation, come here! A little pricey but if you are just visiting Paris. Remember, you can’t get this in your country so it is worth the money for a unique cafe experience.

05/11/2025: The saleswoman was very unfriendly, rude because we gave her change, and not at all professional. She was a woman in her fifties with a ponytail, and as unpleasant as could be. We will never set foot in your establishment again. At least she'll get some rest, since she constantly says, "I get up at 4:30 in the morning." Well, that's your job; you shouldn't have accepted it. We'll go to Logis Neuf; it's far, but at least the service is excellent.

08/04/2026: This is my favorite restaurant! Everything is always perfect. The fish is always fresh, and the service is excellent. The dishes are beautiful and exquisite. You have to book a table in advance, otherwise you won't get a seat! The decor of the new dining room is very cozy; I love it.
06/04/2026: We shared a plate of razor clams and a mixed seafood platter. Everything was very fresh. We enjoyed it with a bottle of white wine. Afterwards, we had dessert and coffee. We felt the quality-price ratio was good, considering it was fresh seafood.

The chef is very friendly; it was a pleasure to eat there, and it certainly won't be the last time. Thank you for a wonderful meal! PS: Don't hesitate to ask for the surprises; the result is perfect.
17/03/2026: We went away for the weekend with a reservation made 10 days in advance at this restaurant, and two days before the reservation was cancelled. Shameful and without explanation. Very professional indeed. Especially for a 9 pm reservation. Sir, please don't try to tell me not to count my hours... The reservation is made online because your restaurant is available online, so if that bothers you, don't use the websites designed for that purpose. And I'll say it again because there are 200,000 restaurants out there, and you think you can cancel four days before? Poor business... but then again, the word "customer" is clearly not in your vocabulary. It's true I'm good on the phone; you didn't expect praise on top of that.

04/04/2026: Great Italian restaurant with a calm atmosphere. We arrived on a Friday evening at 7:30 pm and were the first customers. Although it was empty, it was a hidden gem. The pizzas are excellent; we had a Nordic pizza and a truffle pizza. The manager is very friendly and recommended a wine. The crème brûlée was excellent.

You can enjoy a generous portion for an unbeatable price (€25 for a starter/main course/dessert/wine). It's authentic, fresh, and welcoming. The best spot for a casual meal. My family has been coming here for four generations, and it's our go-to place ☀️ Thank you to the owners and the whole team for making it such a lovely place ❤️
