14/09/2026: Unfortunate that they don't serve like to serve english speaking tourists. I guess my patronage and money was not appreciated here. We sat down to get some drinks. We were asked by one waiter to move to a different part of the cafe. We moved. Waited for 10 minutes while other tables received service. Decided to leave for the cafe next door. As we exited the waiter proclaimed "parfait". Actually I'm very pleased to not get service here. Edit: To the owner's reply- we were sitting on the lunch section. Not the service section. And immediately moved to the "drinks only" section. In fact, we weren't even inside. Incredible that you didn't even notice us and posted an incorrect reply. Maybe there were other patrons who left for the same reason but simply didn't comment. And my note regarding money still stands. As a tourist, I am enriching your city and if you don't want it, I'm still going to spend it at a different place. So please don't be confused. Thank you again for proving how indifferent you can be to visitors.

01/09/2026: Review of our visit to their restaurant last night: we were greeted by the manager himself, who charmed us. Even with our stroller, the waitresses and waiters were incredibly attentive. We opted for the set menu (starter, main course, dessert) and were delighted! Everything was of excellent quality and plentiful. A huge thank you to them for their warm welcome! 😊

21/08/2026: A fairly standard shot bar: you know why you're there and the place delivers what you expect. Lively atmosphere and a confident concept, nice for an evening out.

25/07/2026: A friendly and pleasant place. The decor is unique and much appreciated. The servers are lovely and attentive to any problems (especially for women). Perfect for dancing, with a well-curated and varied playlist. Don't expect to find a seat, as there are few stools at the bar. However, Barberousse is a dance bar, so this isn't a major issue.

31/08/2026: I love coming here; I'm becoming a regular. The bill always stings a bit, but I know what I'm paying for. The service is top-notch, the servers are attentive and offer great advice, and the food is always high-quality and expertly prepared. The dining room is a little small, which might make it seem a bit noisy, but that's... well, that's up to the customers!

19/08/2026: A very fusion restaurant: Thai cuisine completely Westernized and service completely Americanized. The dishes aren't bad at all, but they bear little resemblance to Thai cuisine in terms of flavor complexity; everything is greatly simplified to limit the taste. More annoyingly, this restaurant should have stayed in the USA: you're given 1 hour and 30 minutes to eat, after which you're kicked out (at least they warn you when you sit down). This practice is completely contrary to our French way of life, and it's becoming increasingly common in the 7th arrondissement—it needs to be fought. In France, you stay at the table until you've finished. One final magical touch: the mandatory tip (starting at 10% of the bill) on the payment terminal. That too is pure Americanism, but the Rue du Cherche-Midi isn't Brooklyn; in France, service is included by law, and the tip is left to the customer's discretion. Since the clientele is clearly mostly American, it probably doesn't bother them, but sorry, it bothers us. Not bad, friendly waiter, but we'll never go back. Importing the US restaurant model is a no-go.

29/05/2026: A truly unique and charming place. We loved everything about it. The tapas were so tempting, it was hard to choose, and they all looked delicious. The setting was perfect for hours. And the service was as delightful as the food.

24/05/2026: I came in the morning for a café crème. Unfortunately, they didn't have any croissants, but they kindly let me grab one from the bakery around the corner. The staff were incredibly friendly, as evidenced by the many regular customers. Bring a newspaper or a good book and relax...

Special mention to the Chef's lemon tart: absolutely divine! Thank you for this delightful experience.
