25/03/2026: My partner and I have been to La Pineta twice already, within a year, and frankly, nothing has changed. The couple (the wife in the dining room and the husband in the kitchen) are incredibly kind, a rare find these days. The ingredients are truly Italian, mmm; they're even displayed for purchase. The service is quick. And everything makes you want to come back, despite the distance between our home and the restaurant. An added bonus for us: the restaurant is dog-friendly. After his shift, the pizza chef even came to play with our dog, who is usually quite timid. We'll be back!

21/03/2026: An excellent Japanese restaurant that stands out for the freshness of its fish. We particularly enjoyed the gyozas and the chef's chirashi, which was original with its notes of pomegranate and edamame. The Sando menu is very comprehensive (sushi, sashimi, maki, skewers, soup, and salad), but it could benefit from more authentic rice; the one served resembled lightly seasoned basmati, which contrasted somewhat with the quality of the rest of the meal.

22/02/2026: For the happiness of my granddaughters, and of course for my own, Rue Sainte-Catherine is a must-see in Bordeaux. We don't just stroll there; we go shopping in all the stores and leave with loads of fashionable clothes. I wait patiently in line at the registers, and when I see their smiles, I know we'll be back.

23/03/2026: There were six of us, and we were seated in front of the cooks by the fireplace. Let me tell you, the heat was almost unbearable. Luckily, the table next to us opened a door to the outside to let in some fresh air. We ordered an aperitif, champagne... and that's when the wait began. Jokingly, a friend said, "They probably don't have any chilled champagne and they've gone to put it in the freezer..." Well, yes, that was probably the case, because the champagne wasn't cold. We ordered our main courses; I ordered hanger steak, as I'm severely allergic to fish (I had an anaphylactic shock three years ago). Then I saw the cook preparing the dishes, fish of course, and then, without washing his hands or anything else, he started preparing the meat. I panicked; it was too risky. I went to a waitress and asked her to change my order and order a pizza, since someone else was preparing them. We waited a long time, then decided to order another aperitif... the dishes arrived, we were asked if we would like wine, we said yes, and the person never came back... They had a birthday party with several people in the next room. They gave priority to that party. The waitresses were running around everywhere, the cooks were working at a crazy pace. Don't you think it would be better to perhaps take fewer customers but take better care of them? As a result of our evening, I paid €24 for a hanger steak instead of a €17 pizza. Two people ordered the duck, which they advertised at €10 per 100g (400g), but it ended up being €50 for two ducks, and a €90 bottle of champagne that wasn't chilled... with a bill of €400, I expected better. And FYI, if I hadn't seen your cook not washing his hands and touching the fish as much as the meat, I might not be here today... so please be careful!

26/04/2026: Having never had the chance to try this place, despite being islanders on the north side and being on holiday in the south, we decided to stop by. It was a wonderful discovery, starting with the location and the restaurant itself. We were served by a very friendly waitress who took excellent care of us, as well as all the other customers that day. The owner, also very friendly, came to check if everything was alright, if the food was good, and if there was enough of it. I must admit that being islanders meant we clicked immediately. My dish (stuffed eggplant) was so delicious that he ordered a second helping because I enjoyed it so much. From the charcuterie appetizer we shared to the main courses and desserts, everything was a delight. I had a coffee, and my wife and I enjoyed a digestif after a lovely and delicious meal. It's worth noting, and this is becoming increasingly rare, that coffee and after-dinner drinks were offered to us on the house, which was a nice touch, even if the final bill was rather high. However, considering everything we ordered, it was reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the food. I highly recommend this place.
