01/05/2026: The terrace was lovely. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We were served our meals in 15 minutes. Everything was delicious! Special mention for the kiwi pavlova and the baby-friendly atmosphere! We will gladly return.

27/04/2026: The setting of this restaurant is truly lovely, with a magnificent terrace overlooking the Charente River. The welcome and service are warm and attentive. As for the food, the dishes are delicious and generous. An address I highly recommend!

27/02/2026: In an authentic setting, a beautiful Norman house serves as a restaurant, nestled amidst paddocks and stables. The cuisine is traditional and flavorful, with beautifully presented dishes and no missteps. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

10/05/2026: We visited twice, a month apart. The first time, we were blown away by the quality of the seafood and the excellent scallops. The service was also very friendly. The only downside was the dessert, which was very small and not as good as the main courses. So, we returned with our mother the following time, and unfortunately, we were disappointed with the scallops (which were very small this time) and the periwinkles (several had gone by). The service was much colder and less pleasant. The bill was still very high, and we won't be returning despite the pleasant terrace.

16/09/2025: An exceptional meal!!! Delicious and hearty dishes. The chef strives to please his customers. We ate at this restaurant twice, in August and September. Each time, we experienced a rare moment. The chef manages to make classic dishes (for example, the salt cod brande or the celery remoulade) exceptional.

08/09/2025: In a city that loves blended cuisine, there remains an indomitable chef who delights everyone with dishes full of Southern flavors! Jean-Luc Rabanel eschews trends in favor of precise and very gourmet cuisine. The dishes are generous! We'll be back!

16/12/2025: A peaceful farmhouse, terrace overlooking the Bugarach mountain. The farmyard animals frolic in the grass, putting on a show. The set menu is €29, and we choose from several courses. A buffet of well-prepared charcuterie and crudités. House dish (boles de picoulat). Dessert (profiteroles). Aperitif with Maury wine, followed by a meal with white wine. Three hours of dining and relaxation. It's a bit warm on the terrace; the curtains aren't up yet for the season. The chef makes a special effort with the presentation, adding small decorative touches and flavor combinations that are worth noting. You can sense his organization in his desire to serve all the guests in roughly the same order. Main courses for everyone, then desserts for everyone. There are only two of them, so they need to be methodical. The furniture and layout could use a touch of modernization (budget constraints, of course), but it's lush and full of flowers. We had a wonderful time during our two-wheeled tour of Bugarach and Rennes-le-Château. Limiting seating to around 20 people to prioritize quality over quantity, reservations are recommended. For groups, the farm indicated they can accommodate larger groups with prior booking, similar to classic car club outings. Parking is available on the property. I will definitely return. Thank you to this young couple.

12/11/2025: Excellent. We had lunch as a group and thoroughly enjoyed it. The €29 set menu is truly delicious and generous. The starter buffet, cassoulet, and profiteroles were all very plentiful and flavorful. I highly recommend it. The dining room is lovely, and the terrace is also very pleasant. They don't accept cards.

09/10/2025: We just had lunch, the tasting menu. An incredible discovery! Excellent flavors, beautiful presentation, and fantastic value for money. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about wines. Highly recommended.

22/09/2025: A wonderful meal with friends in a place that was certainly traditional but with contemporary decor. A very warm welcome from the owner and the gentleman in charge of service, professional and friendly. The 5-course menu was excellent, refined and appropriate for the season, accompanied by the proposed and very well-chosen wine pairing. An excellent address to try again!

01/02/2026: Excellent meal, starter/main/dessert for two on a Saturday lunchtime. We were seated in the sun exactly as we requested, and I was able to change my side dish without any problem! The cuisine is "simple," with no long, convoluted descriptions of the dishes, and everything is executed to perfection! Cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, with little touches on the plates for both beauty and, above all, deliciousness. I highly recommend it! Be warned, they're very popular, so it's best to book ahead to avoid disappointment!

18/04/2026: We had such a lovely experience at Bar Le Montgeoffroy. Even though they weren’t open yet, the team went out of their way to welcome us and our dog, letting us sit outside with a glass of wine after a long day of travelling to Mazé-Milon. Their kindness and relaxed atmosphere made a great first impression, and it was exactly what we needed. We ordered a couple of pizzas to take away, and they were absolutely delicious! A big thank you to the chef and the waiting staff for being so accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

14/04/2026: Stunning (both location and services). The location is excellent (limited parking) but with superb views over the surrounding countryside with snow capped mountains. The welcome was very friendly - felt like old friends. Our dog was made very welcome (think she have stolen several hearts). Lovely room reasonable spacious, view from the window exceptional, nice sized shower room. Fridge and aircon. Meals on the terrace, 3 excellent (alcoholic) aperitif's to choose from. We had 3 different meals (one each day) well presented, original and they were very tasty. Yummy as well desserts. Wine very pleasant. Breakfast serve yourself - the fresh fruit salad was much appreciated. Good range of products to choose from. Coffee and teas as required (served). Prices for our 3 days stay dinner bed and breakfast (+small charge for Choupettte) were very reasonable

06/04/2026: It had been a while since I'd last stopped by La Cuisine du Potager. Another delightful experience, just as enjoyable as the previous ones. Lunchtime is a time when time seems to stand still, allowing us to savor cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, prepared with love. A true treat for the taste buds, with an explosion of flavors in every bite. I highly recommend La Cuisine du Potager, and I also highly recommend making a reservation! Well done to the whole team. Looking forward to seeing you there again.

Mussels and fries season hasn't started yet, but the fish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. A delicious Irish coffee to finish off the meal. Excellent value for money.
