Contacting Thibault and Julie beforehand was quick and easy, and we also had the opportunity to chat with them more thoroughly on-site. It was a very pleasant experience. 13/06/2026: Passing through the neighborhood for a meeting, I decided to take a break and have a café crème. After comparing the various terraces nearby, I found that Bistro de Charonne offered by far the most reasonable price: €2.50 for a café crème consumed there, while several establishments just a few meters away were charging up to €5 for the same thing. The manager was courteous, calm, and professional. The place was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant experience. However, one thing particularly surprised me: despite significantly lower prices and a satisfactory welcome, the establishment was practically empty, while the neighboring terraces, though much more expensive, were packed. This situation, in my opinion, illustrates a certain contradiction. We regularly hear that purchasing power is declining, that going out is becoming unaffordable, and that everything costs too much. However, when a business offers fair and reasonable prices, it doesn't necessarily attract the same clientele as its more expensive competitors. Personally, I prefer to support establishments that charge fair prices rather than those that take advantage of inflation to increase their profit margins. The Bistro de Charonne deserves to be better known and more frequented.

I purchased an antique fireplace from David Camus, and each step was carried out with remarkable care. The restoration, performed in their own workshops, is of impeccable quality: a work of art, respectful of the materials and enhanced by a true expertise in rare marbles. Beyond the final result, it's the entire process that has impressed me. I learned a great deal thanks to David Camus's infectious passion and his availability. He listened carefully to my wishes, paying meticulous attention to every detail. The installation, coordinated with a network of high-quality partners, was flawlessly executed. A family-run establishment, a rare find these days, where expertise, high standards, and passion blend perfectly. A unique experience I wholeheartedly recommend.

12/04/2026: We had a beautiful antique fireplace reinstalled in an apartment that no longer had one. Mr. Camus provided excellent advice and was incredibly responsive regarding the color, dimensions, and fireback. We are delighted with the result!

02/02/2026: The place is simply amazing I was there with a group of Jews for the weekend and Shabbat. The owners went out of their way to help accommodate the group, and the stay was more than adequate The place is clean and maintained to a very high standard, even for a prestigious area. The kitchen was converted to a kosher kitchen despite all the requirements, and the food and cooking were done on site for the entire weekend, including Shabbat Highly recommend

09/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant offers couscous, tagines, pastries, and more, all very well-prepared and generously portioned. It's well worth a visit. The owner has been there for 50 years. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, perfect for a pleasant evening.
