The La Cave Gourmande restaurant is located underground, in a stone environment reminiscent of a dungeon. Local and unique.

The service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff, always ready to meet customer needs and provide a pleasant experience.
Menu and Quality of Dishes:

Planche mixte servie quand nous avions fini nos bières
Les frites commandées et redemandées à 2 reprises ne sont jamais arrivées
Le tartare est à préparer soi même, on ne vous propose pas de le préparer.
Oubli du miel, qu’il a fallu demander aussi.
Wc pas très propre.
Serveuse et barman gentils.

15/12/2024: I had booked via the website and we were placed on the terrace side where the setting is much less pleasant. It’s a shame that on the site you don’t give a choice of location. Plus I had booked a week before.

Very nice welcome, the slice of pan-fried foie gras with its ravioli was so good.
An atypical setting on the bus, the boss's rum arranged when leaving.

31/08/2024: Cenato il 31 agosto 2024. Appena fuori dal circuito pedonale. Il personale ci dice che fuori è tutto prenotato , dentro c’è posto. Entrati , si sta bene, meglio di fuori, aria condizionata, sedie più comode , e più elegante. I piatti buoni, il Pinot sfuso gradevole, porzioni molto abbondanti, consiglio piatto unico, che altrimenti si fatica a finire. Qualità buona, costo adeguato. Camerieri gentili. Consigliato.

03/07/2025: We were staying locally for the night and desperate to find somewhere to eat after a long day.
We were delighted that we found this restaurant. Fabulous food and really reasonably priced for the Auvergne. We ended up chatting to the Greek chef, and his French wife, who both have extensive experience. They are both lovely, and we wish them well with their enterprise. We will be looking for an excuse to come back this way again! Highly recommend.

04/09/2024: Very nice little cafe! Arrived at 2 p.m., they still served hot dishes. Their meatballs are great, served with vegetables that taste like mom made them home. The chocolate ball cakes with coconut were super nice too. And the old-fashioned chocolate with cinnamon and orange, a little thick, a treat 😍
All this for 19€ I find it very reasonable!

Lost in the rain on a bike ride with my friends, we had a wonderful time enjoying a very generous meal. A large buffet starter, a good selection of main courses, and a wide selection of desserts delighted us. And all this at a very affordable price.
A big congratulations to the team.

16/09/2024: Cela fait la seconde fois que nous y allons ; et toujours avec une wonderbox offerte pour une occasion particuliere d une valeur de 75 euros pour2 personnes. Nous avons choisi le menu decouverte a 43 euros (x2) et pris une bouteille de 75 cl de vin blanc du mas de la dame la stele 2023 (fabuleux) a 30 euros. Total paye de notre poche 41 euros pour 2 personnes. Menu : amuses gueules, mises en bouche du chef, entree, plat, dessert, le tout avec des proportions tout a fait correcte avec une cuisine raffinee et innovatrice. Bravo au chef et au personnel sympathique. Nous recommandons vivement cet etablissement.
