10/10/2026: A place with potential, but unfortunately not realized. No background music (we had to endure the football match, which could have been left on, but without the sound), no atmosphere, the charcuterie wasn't good... the dishes weren't very Basque at all.

03/10/2026: I came here for lunch with a couple of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday, and we had a beautiful table on the terrace. Knowing it is part of a 5-star hotel, we thought we'd be in for a special treat. The service was awful. Our waiter wasn't at all friendly, which wouldn't have been so bad if he was competent. When we received our meals 15 minutes before getting the starter (onion soup), our waiter brusquely told us that of course - the soup takes more time because the cheese needs to melt. We sent it back. We practically ask for necessities: silverware, water, the check. The food was just OK - the salmon was overcooked, the sole meuniere was served not with a classic meuniere sauce but with an olive-oil based, chimichurri -like sauce. The vegetables were overcooked. For the price we paid, the food was forgettable, and the overall experience was not great.

01/10/2026: What a shame, it's no longer a brasserie, just fish? Reserved only for foreigners, and far too expensive.

26/11/2025: Wandering the narrow streets looking for a restaurant, I stopped and found a table at this small, simple but charming establishment. We ate in the vaulted dining room on the lower level. The service was very efficient. A very good meal. Kudos to the chef and his team.

12/08/2026: A wonderful second experience at this restaurant! We had a lovely time on the terrace with a friend over dinner; we chose the beef tagliata, which was absolutely excellent! The service was also very friendly, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality.

09/09/2026: I've always ordered my fish from Lachenal for many years; I should buy more of it. Unfortunately, I live far from the store, making it difficult for me to travel. So, I recommend that all customers who can get around don't hesitate to visit this store. You'll receive a warm welcome, cooking advice for your dishes, and impeccable product quality. It's a shame these days.

Availability and friendliness go hand in hand with professionalism and the exceptional quality of the products offered, both in terms of flavor and ethical fishing practices. The owner, Eric, is a seasoned professional with boundless courage. I don't go as often as I'd like, but if I want to eat fish, this is where I buy it and nowhere else. We're lucky to have such a fish shop in Grenoble. Eric brings the sea to the mountains; that's quite something!

12/08/2026: A truly beautiful spot with panoramic views. The restaurant at the Mayeres refuge was fantastic, with a superb, generous, and delicious menu – everything was perfect. The welcome was warm, and even the large, very affectionate sheepdog was there. A huge thank you for everything; we will be back – the families from Sallanches and Angers. Have a wonderful summer in your beautiful mountains.
