09/05/2026: Having just passed through the neighborhood and not having eaten at this restaurant, I naturally asked someone behind the counter if it was okay for me to use the restroom. After receiving approval, I went, and upon leaving, the manager became extremely aggressive and rude. He demanded money and made insulting and inappropriate remarks in front of his customers. The waiter was also aggressive towards me. I was told, "We're in France! We don't do things like you do here," who knows what that means... I do not recommend this place.

01/03/2026: A very pleasant surprise, this restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. But when we saw Thierry Marx inside, we thought it was worth stopping by. And we weren't disappointed. Everything is homemade, the welcome is very warm, which is rare at the St. Ouen flea market 😅

28/06/2026: Tradition is fine. But the €8 flaky brioche was clearly not fresh, judging by what I tasted this morning. I always buy my pastries, whether flaky or classic, the day before for breakfast. I've never ended up with something so dry in the center and absolutely rock hard at the edges. It's going in as bread pudding to avoid waste. First and last visit to this bakery.

12/06/2026: A very warm welcome, with a smile and a delicious tutti frutti cake! Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it.

03/03/2026: Hello, does anyone have any information about the reason for the permanent closure today? There's just a small sign on the window, but it doesn't give any details. It's so sudden. It's a place where we often liked to go for lunch with colleagues... What a shame!

27/02/2026: A wonderful place that I'm so glad I found. I just had a salad (a generous and delicious one) and a wonderful lemon-sugar crepe. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The location (the docks) is exceptional and so unique. As for the staff, they are incredibly kind and attentive. I loved it. I can't wait for my next trip to the mainland.

27/06/2026: We went there during a karaoke night and ate paella 🥘 it was super delicious and the atmosphere was really great!

25/06/2026: The main course was excellent, as was the homemade dessert. The service was impeccable and attentive. I will be back.

13/06/2026: 3 visits to the hotel and restaurant. Perfect. The service is good and the menu is excellent. We were there again on Sunday evening. A stopover before heading east.

14/07/2026: Overall very good for a Flunch, we don't expect more, sauces which did not make us want to eat them with a layer on the surface due to the fact that it must have been reheated.

12/07/2026: The restaurant was clean and no problems, but well, it wasn't great quality. The advantage was the unlimited vegetables, but they really need to learn how to cook their meat properly.

07/07/2026: A perfect evening thanks to Hermine! There were seven of us for dinner with friends at La Demeure Monceau, and we had a wonderful time, largely thanks to Hermine, our lovely waitress. Her warm welcome, helpful advice, and efficiency throughout the meal made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and her attentive service left us with an even more memorable experience. Thank you, Hermine, we will gladly return!

03/07/2026: Great experience! Honestly, it was absolutely delicious. The pizzas are generously topped, the dough is excellent, and the ingredients are full of flavor. Everything arrived piping hot, and the portions are generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

13/09/2025: The restaurant has fundamentally changed its concept. Not a disaster in itself, but they should update the links/photos. Completely understaffed, one overwhelmed waiter for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy meanwhile. Way too hot inside. The food was okay, nothing special. We just wanted to leave...

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

03/06/2026: Dear Owner, I recently purchased a prawn biryani from your restaurant for €12.50, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality. The prawns and rice did not seem to be cooked properly, and the dish was not enjoyable. What concerned me even more was that when I placed my order at the cashier, I overheard the staff asking the chef how to prepare a prawn biryani, and the cashier mentioned that it should be made similar to a mutton biryani. This gave me the impression that there may be a lack of proper knowledge or consistency in preparing this dish. As customers, we pay good money for the food we order, and we expect it to be prepared correctly and served at an acceptable standard. You are not providing the food for free; we are paying for quality and service. I kindly request that you take the necessary steps to improve the preparation and quality control of your food so that future customers have a better experience. Thank you for your attention. 24/07/2026: Excellent kebab sandwich with raw vegetables like we used to eat in the 80s in the neighborhood. We called it a gee... very friendly owner.
