12/05/2026: You can't please them all, and I am one of the displeased. Coming from San Diego, California, I know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like. My burrito al pastor was mostly beans and rice, and very little meat in the onion sauce. Nothing seemed fresh or imaginative. Only the picante hot sauces saved the experience. The unsmiling waiter forgot to bring my drink, so I canceled and just had plain water. I skipped dessert and just got out as quickly as possible. They need a makeover in today's standards of preparation and positive service. There's lots of competition out there.

19/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, in an absolutely stunning setting nestled in a rose garden. The welcome was warm and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The ingredients were high quality, including some beautiful local produce. The menu is intentionally small, but that's precisely what guarantees carefully prepared and flavorful dishes. We also greatly appreciated the selection of African dishes, which were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. A special mention goes to the homemade apple juice, a real treat. A truly wonderful discovery, both for the ambiance and the cuisine. We will definitely be back!

17/08/2026: A restaurant well worth a visit. We loved the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. I would have liked a slightly heavier touch with the spices. One possible improvement: the service was a tad slow (but I didn't mind the wait).

27/07/2026: We had an absolutely exceptional culinary experience (July 19, 2026). Each dish was a true journey, with unique, perfectly balanced, and exquisitely refined flavors. The quality of the ingredients, as well as the expertise and passion of Chef René (who runs the kitchen single-handedly), were immediately apparent. Jessica's welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the ambiance refined, making the experience even more enjoyable. Without hesitation, this is the best restaurant we have discovered to date. Umami is a must-visit, one we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will return with the greatest pleasure. Bravo and thank you to Jessica and René for this magnificent experience.

07/07/2026: A discovery of exquisite flavors, dishes as beautiful as they are delicious, a few hours of escape between France and Japan! The non-alcoholic beverage pairings are surprising and original. Flawless from start to finish. We would have liked to see the chef, however, which is generally customary in this style of restaurant, and even more so in a Michelin-starred establishment! A minor oversight easily rectified in this small, cozy, and welcoming restaurant with only 16 seats.

26/08/2026: A real find just 7km from Verdun! The Artaumace restaurant is a true pleasure to dine in. The welcome was very pleasant, and the cuisine was excellent with beautiful presentation. We had an aperitif, starter, main course, and dessert (full meal plus drinks).

27/08/2026: We came this Thursday, August 27th, because we were looking for a restaurant with good red meat. We were absolutely not disappointed! We wanted to eat on the terrace, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating. The owner did everything she could to make sure we could stay outside despite the weather. The dishes were very generous and delicious, the service was quick, and the staff was very pleasant. I highly recommend it!

We ordered two different menus to have the opportunity to sample several dishes, and it was flawless from beginning to end... thank you again for this wonderful experience and cultural exchange; it was simply perfect. We highly recommend it.

19/08/2026: Always very good, but the waiter was a bit overwhelmed that day, so there was quite a wait. Marie Paule is always there! Courageous and passionate!

18/08/2026: The fondue bourguignonne is simply a must here. Always a delight. Generous portions. Accompanied by a delicious potato gratin. The only slight drawback was the service from the young gentleman, which was a bit slower than usual. The house wine, a cuvée, is a wonderful choice. And for dessert, the flotted islands are simply unbeatable. With roasted almond slivers. I'm pleased to say the tables have been freshly sanded. They used to be a bit sticky. Now they're wonderfully clean. A real pleasure. 😃
