26/08/2026: We went on a friend's recommendation and... WE CANNOT RECOMMEND IT MORE THAN ! Excellent quality food, beautifully presented, and generous portions. And very friendly service. Very fair prices compared to other restaurants in Nice. It's not your typical tourist spot, we'll definitely be back!

26/08/2026: We can't remember ever being in a better restaurant. The setting is exactly what you imagine a truly authentic French bistro to be—the chalkboard on the wall, an incredibly warm atmosphere, no snobbery, just genuine soul. And now, a compliment from one chef to another: it's exactly like that scene in the movie "Burnt," when the cook calmly replies, "I know," when told his dish is fantastic. I KNOW you know how amazing your cooking is! But between colleagues, I still had to tip my hat to you. On your beef kefta, I might have had a little more fun with mint, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper... 😉 But your ponzu-style marinated pork tenderloin? Absolutely KILLER, it was a total knockout! Pure expertise, a playful approach to flavors, and complete mastery, from small plates meant for sharing to Loire wines. Thank you for this incredible experience. Huge respect and hats off to the artist!

26/08/2026: We shared three main dishes, a local bottle of wine and dessert and everything was excellent. Good vibes and friendly staff that also spoke English and really went the extra mile to make us have a great evening :) Our highlight in Loire! To book we just dropped by earlier on the same day and our dog was also allowed inside.

03/10/2026: Discovered this little restaurant! Menu that changes regularly. I thoroughly enjoyed your sea bream fillet. Beautifully presented dishes at a reasonable price. Service was quite quick and perfect. Remember to book! As for us, we'll see you soon!

30/09/2026: We are regulars at this restaurant, and I hesitated to give it three stars. Perhaps it was nostalgia? The amuse-bouche, accompanied by Patricia's delicious anchovy dip, is still there, as are the other ingredients, the same ones I've had since I first came to this restaurant: nothing new. Tonight's starter: a perfectly cooked egg on a bed of ratatouille. Perfect as it was, did an egg really belong on a €58 menu? The main course: sea bass fillet, crushed potatoes, fennel marmalade, with a few drops of fish stock. We didn't find Chef Jérôme's usual excellent cooking, and the fish stock was sorely lacking. Finally, the cheese and Valrhona chocolate dessert were, as always, excellent. As for the "table d'hôte" atmosphere, where has it gone? The service, while certainly perfect, was shared between Chef Jérôme, Patricia, and a waitress, though pleasant, and was far from what we were used to.

23/09/2026: Another wonderful dinner at La Rastègue (our fourth visit!), which is clearly the standout restaurant in the Bormes/Le Lavandou area. If you’re looking for the very essence of Provence, this is the place to go. The flavour simply oozes from Chef Jérôme’s beautiful dishes. We love how he uses the best seasonal, local ingredients: in late summer, we had aubergines, tomatoes, St. Pierre (John Dory) fish, olives, anchoïade… The excellent wine selection and scenic hillside views are unforgettable - and what really ties the dining experience together is Patricia, who embodies French elegance as a truly welcoming hostess. It was a shame we missed le jeune homme parce que l’école était commencée! Thank you so much for another lovely dinner - we would hugely recommend La Rastègue to anyone looking for an impeccable Provençal evening.

24/09/2026: We came with friends. What an incredible discovery! The lobster stew was a pure delight, the sauce was excellent. The dessert was equally excellent and beautiful. We had a wonderful time, both with the food and the service.

03/10/2026: We had a wonderful time with our family this evening. The welcome was particularly warm despite our late arrival. The service, provided by a passionate staff, guided us through a menu featuring original and authentic starters, followed by perfectly executed and seasoned main courses. The cuisine is both generous and refined. This type of establishment is a reminder of the excellence that gastronomy and service can offer. A big congratulations on this concept; keep up the good work, it's a pleasure to know I'll be able to return!

14/09/2026: On holiday in Le Lavandou on the French Riviera for the past month, I've tried four different pizzerias, and this one is by far the best. I'm still shocked by the prices compared to other places nearby. I recommend the goat cheese and honey pizza and the simple margarita. It's a shame it's having to close.

25/08/2026: I highly recommend it. The waiter is lovely and attentive. The food is excellent and generous, the service is quick, and the ingredients are high quality. The presentation of the dishes is elegant. Rare enough to mention: the dishes are available in a (prepared) vegetarian version. Thank you again for this wonderful meal! :)

23/08/2026: Absolutely fantastic!! So delicious, and an incredible vegetarian raclette 🤩 especially since it's the first time a restaurant has offered a vegetarian version of raclette. Everything was amazing, from the cheese to the sweet potato fries (incredible!), not to mention the dried fruit and salad. The waiter was very friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, and the génépi cocktail was excellent. We booked in advance as recommended, and it's definitely worth it, otherwise you won't get a table. Great restaurant, we'll definitely be back!

28/08/2026: We only stopped for a planche and some drinks, but it was a really lovely experience. The view is absolutely beautiful, especially from the terrace, and it’s the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. The planche was nice and went perfectly with the drinks. Definitely worth a stop for the atmosphere and the view!

14/08/2026: Ideally located for a lunch break or a snack after a hike, this very friendly restaurant offers smiling service and a choice of a very cozy interior or a beautiful large sunny terrace... which can be covered with a sail if necessary.
