23/05/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this family-run hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner is a true chef who knows how to delight the palate and satisfy even the heartiest appetites. As a gourmet and gourmand, I was in heaven. The owner's wife welcomes and serves you. The breakfast is very comprehensive. The hotel is quiet and very well insulated. Ideally located for immersing yourself in the world of Ferdinand Cheval, whose tomb on one side and ideal palace on the other are just a few minutes' walk away in the town of Hauterives itself. The parking lot is gated and the entrance is secured with a keypad. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in a beautiful region nestled between the countryside and the mountains.

28/05/2026: A great stopover at the inn before our stay in Annecy; don't miss the Bresse chicken! The welcome was pleasant and professional. We didn't try the pool, but we'll have to come back. A stop not to be missed.

07/05/2026: A first for us: plate service by conveyor belt. The food served is very good, the kebabs and meatballs particularly delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and exotic. A great place to go, especially with hungry teenagers 😎

05/05/2026: Pure bliss! Sushi made right in front of us and so fresh. A good variety of choices, everything is truly delicious and fresh. The cooks never stop for a second, constantly refilling the small plates to satisfy us. Excellent and original with its conveyor belt several meters long, continuously passing different dishes. A word of advice... Book in advance! 👍👍👍

On the big day, we had a wonderful evening, thanks to Chef Guillaume for the meal, and the following day we finished with a magnificent brunch. Not to mention the beautiful rooms where we stayed. In short, everything was perfect.

After climbing the few steps to the front porch, the terrace offers its first tables. The nearby river provides a refreshing and tranquil atmosphere. Then comes the entrance, where the renovation has preserved the building's authenticity. Moldings, parquet floors, fireplaces, and mirrors—everything is there, and the restaurant's furnishings perfectly complement this incredible setting. Then comes the moment when, after a pleasant aperitif, the dishes arrive. The tuna tataki is perfect, enhanced by a sesame crust that finds its perfect expression in this dish. It's a generous portion, but my appetite compels me to finish it and eagerly await the veal chop. When it arrives, it's pure bliss. Perfectly cooked! The very reason why the price becomes almost irrelevant. Your taste buds are pampered by a virtuoso, unsurpassed in my kitchen, that much is clear. It's a delight. I confess I skipped dessert, so captivated was I by the two preceding courses. The review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the bill, which, considering the evening and without holding back on drinks, came to just under one hundred euros per person. This is perfectly reasonable given the quality of the experience, because a good meal is all about ambiance, service, and mastery of culinary art. Thank you.
