12/02/2026: One of the few restaurants open in February in this Cévennes village. Hearty and delicious galettes served simply in a beautifully restored old vaulted room adorned with lovely illustrations of bygone days. I highly recommend this welcoming place, frequented by both locals and visitors alike.

17/03/2026: A very nice place right in the center of Les Carroz. Good food. A minor drawback was the fries, which were frozen and of poor quality for a restaurant of this standing. A shame, especially since we ordered the daily special, ribs. Another slight issue was the service. We hadn't even decided what to eat after being seated for five minutes. The waiter's response was, "You'll have to order quickly because your table is reserved for 9 pm." It was a bit clumsy. In my opinion, they could have told us that towards the end of the meal if we were having trouble. Aside from that, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is good quality.

16/03/2026: In a very pleasant setting, we enjoyed a delicious fondue bourguignonne with our friends, as well as some excellent Savoyard escalopes. To finish, our chosen dessert... homemade crème brûlée, absolutely recommended. July 2023 with friends, also an extraordinary fresh salad...

14/02/2026: A magnificent setting in the heart of the countryside, the decor, the tableware, the comfort at the table or in the lounge—everything is designed to make you delighted to be there. And what can I say about the meal? It's a marvel for the taste buds, with meticulous attention to presentation. The cuisine is exceptional. The wine pairings are perfectly matched. The staff and the manager are incredibly attentive. I offer you a big Bravo for all these reasons... I highly recommend this restaurant; it's well worth the detour.

07/02/2026: Our children treated us to a meal; the portions were small, enough for the starters and desserts but just enough for the main course. The food was excellent, but the extra charge for the wine and cheese plate was a bit excessive. We had a very pleasant evening, the staff were friendly and professional, and the setting was magnificent.

16/02/2026: At first glance, we were intrigued. The first door opens into a small entryway where a coat rack awaits customers. The second door opens up a real feast for the eyes. A large fireplace welcomes us with a roaring wood fire. About ten tables await us in an intimate, warm setting. Two set menus are more than enough, as they are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients sourced from nearby farms. From the aperitif to the coffee, everything is excellent. It's a shame we don't live nearby...

24/03/2026: Last night, we went as a family to eat raclette at Clariant. Just wow. Amazing. Even the arrival at night is sublime; it must be just as stunning during the day. The welcome was top-notch, honestly, nothing to complain about: smiling, helpful, and attentive. We're almost at the end of the winter season, and they're incredibly friendly, which is really appreciated. The food was excellent, the ingredients were well-chosen, truly fantastic, and the homemade desserts were delicious. The experience was amazing: a nighttime walk through the forest, toasting popcorn over a wood fire, and walking back to the car by torchlight. Honestly, fantastic. In short, the experience was amazing, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, smiling, and attentive, the decor was super cozy, and the gentle warmth of a wood fire filled the entire restaurant. In short, we loved it. 😊

The dishes are delicious, authentic, and beautifully presented. 🥰👌🏽 The service is also impeccable: the servers are very attentive, welcoming, and always go the extra mile. You feel truly comfortable from beginning to end. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover authentic Alsatian cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect! 👌🏽😃

23/02/2026: Oh my gosh. This place is absolutely amazing. We felt so lucky to stumble upon this place. We were staying one village north in Beinheim and were looking for a place for an early dinner since we had skipped lunch. Most of the restaurants in our small town didn't open till 6:00 and the one that was open earlier was booked for a private wedding. So we went on the hunt for something nearby and we hit a goldmine with this place. To stumble upon this was nothing short of a miracle. We got there at 4:45 and it was already near to bursting with an all local crowd, which is a great sign. They had one large table in the corner for our group of 6. Wait staff spoke very little English, but the chef owner was incredible and took lots of time to translate the menu, answer questions, recommend wine, etc. Every single bite was the epitome of French cuisine. Definitely try the frog legs. And if they are doing creme brulee that night, it will be the best you'll ever have. By 6:00 there was a line out the door of folks waiting for a table in the quaintly appointed, small, 40 person dining room. When standing room would open at the bar, the line would shift and the waiting crowd would be able to grab an apertif before sitting for dinner. We met a German couple at the table next to us who lived 3 kilometers away on the German side of the river and they said they come twice a month and have been for years. One of the best, if not the best, restaurant in the Alsace region. Get there early and enjoy.

19/03/2026: I came for lunch with two friends! The owner is so kind! Even though it was lunchtime, there were so many options, I couldn't decide! The curry was nice and spicy and delicious 😋 I'll definitely come again!!

23/03/2026: Passing through Cassis, we had lunch at L'Oustau de la Mare. We received a very warm welcome. Our two pizzas were excellent, and the desserts were to die for. Fresh, high-quality ingredients. The owner kindly offered us a small digestif. Thank you all. From Normans visiting this beautiful town.

17/03/2026: A delightful establishment, both in terms of hygiene, service, and food! In my opinion, it's the best pizza in Cassis, so much so that other dishes are also on the menu. A must-visit!

19/03/2026: A must-try. A real gem. A cassoulet like you just don't find anymore. Completely homemade. Exceptional beans and broth, with a truly irresistible flavor; an unchanging trio of ingredients: duck confit, confit sausage, and pork ribs. Speaking of irresistible, we'll be back very soon... and who knows, maybe even by bike.
