The dill flavor was quite pronounced. Don't miss the chance to chat with the owner, who is super friendly and full of stories!

30/06/2026: We had lunch as a group of three, and we were all impressed by the outstanding service. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent. The calzone was the best I've ever had. It was unlike any calzone I'd tasted before. In fact, I wouldn't even describe it as a typical calzone pizza, but rather as a delicious half-moon pastry filled with wonderful flavors, served with a fresh and tasty salad.

The owner is super friendly, and he deserves a lot of credit because he not only manages the service but also does the cooking 😉 delicious empanadas, homemade from scratch. Go without hesitation, you won't be disappointed!!! And all this at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a South American cantina ;)

26/06/2026: This crêperie is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The crêpes are excellent, and the staff is lovely. Everything is homemade with love; you can really taste it. The menu is incredibly varied, with something for everyone. It's the kind of place you'll enjoy coming back to regularly without ever getting tired of it.

19/06/2026: Great experience but a few things missing to make it a 5/5 for the price tag. I came to Komatrubaki for dinner with a reservation which I highly recommend doing as I believe it is necessary. The restaurant has two floors with the bathroom being on the first and main dining area on the second. The dining area was clean, well decorated and welcoming but the bathroom on the other hand was surprisingly dirty in comparison, with toilet paper on the floor and an empty soap container. When we came in, everyone was seated at the bar. The chef and sous-chef were preparing their mise en place. A few positive things to note were the fact that they used fresh ingredients such as freshly grated wasabi which is expected at this price point. The next point that took away from the experience was the very slow service from the staff. Although the chef was preparing the courses in a timely and responsive manner, it took a long time for us to receive our beverages. Everyone, including those that came later had already received theirs and the first few courses had already come out until we finally got out beverages. Afterwards, the waiters did not refill our water or ask if we wanted to order any other drinks. Other than those two points which unfortunately bring down my total assessment for Komatrubaki, the food was quite flavorful and light and the service from the head chef was friendly and attentive. There were a few dishes that I felt were slightly overcooked and under seasoned but overall the dishes were very good. All in all, I hope Komatrubaki takes a look into these issues in order for future guests to really receive a 5 star experience. If you staying in the area and want some good Japanese food, I would recommend this spot but I would not go out of my way to come here.

Every detail was flawless—from the seasonal touches and meticulous craftsmanship to the beautiful presentation and thoughtfully chosen tableware. Most importantly, the food itself was outstanding. Even though I dined alone, the chef and those around me were warm and welcoming, which made the experience especially enjoyable and memorable. I’m truly glad I discovered this place during my trip to Paris, and I highly recommend it.

12/06/2026: **Getting ripped off at lunchtime 🫒😅** Tried it today at La Verrière in Boulogne. Verdict? A complete rip-off. I tried the chicken and mozzarella croque monsieur for €15.90. Frankly, it was bland and dry. Inside, the chicken tenders were cut so perfectly, down to the millimeter, that the industrial tray was practically opened in a hurry. Zero effort, wasted zucchini, a completely invisible béchamel sauce, and no seasoning whatsoever. The only positive point was the Poilâne bread: a nice gray crumb, nice and crusty, but it doesn't make a meal. To top it all off, the salad is… extra! Add a half-pint of flat beer (obviously from the end of the keg), and you end up with a total of €23.59 for two pieces of bread and three vacuum-packed pieces of chicken. In football jargon, we call that getting ripped off. Price-wise, the rest of the menu is outrageous: beef cheek for €26 (the cheapest cut on the butcher's counter, you have to hand it to them) and sea bream for €27. Then they wonder why customers are abandoning traditional brasseries for fast food… I'm only giving it 2/5 because the staff were okay and the terrace on the main square is quite pleasant for people-watching. You seriously need to rethink your approach, La Verrière. You can't serve mediocre food at the price of a near-Michelin-starred restaurant. It just doesn't work.

29/06/2026: The setting is magnificent, the terrace idyllic amidst the greenery with Mr. and Mrs. Peacock 🦚 in the park. The owner, often in the dining room, is very pleasant, warm, and clearly enjoys sharing his time with his customers. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and the homemade sorbets are exquisite. Well done to Amelie and Dylan!

19/06/2026: We live just a few kilometers away and we didn't know about this inn. It just goes to show, we often look far and wide for what we can find close to home! The welcome was warm, and the dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious. The setting is very pleasant. We also enjoyed chatting with the owners: passionate, helpful, and very friendly! A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend. We'll definitely be back!
