18/10/2026: How could you not love it? I made a last-minute reservation to visit this restaurant I'd been wanting to go to for a while. The menu reflects our region. The prices are incredibly affordable. The dishes are generous and excellent. Special mention to Matthias, who is attentive and responsive. So if you're looking for a warm and welcoming place where you can fill your belly with quality food, don't hesitate.

11/10/2026: A very good restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is excellent, but the portions are a bit too generous 😅 I couldn't finish my Welsh rarebit. Another minor drawback: I wanted to order a verbena herbal tea (offered on the menu) with my dessert to finish my meal, but I had to settle for regular tea because they were out of it.

29/10/2026: A very disappointing experience, both in terms of the food and the service! From the moment we arrived, the tone was set: an unfriendly manager, curt in his interactions with customers, and clearly unconcerned with their satisfaction. While we simply wanted to have lunch in the sun, he took it upon himself to tell us we'd be better off in the shade, even going so far as to ask us to justify our desire to change tables! A rather surprising attitude in an establishment supposedly designed to welcome customers. The disappointment continued with the food. We felt that cost-cutting had trumped culinary enjoyment. A dry burger, without sauce, and a particularly meager Caesar salad: some lettuce, a few pieces of chicken, tomatoes, and parmesan shavings. Nothing particularly appetizing or sophisticated. But the most unpleasant aspect was the overall atmosphere. As the meal progressed, we witnessed a manager curtly refusing service to customers who still wanted to eat and raising his voice at the kitchen staff. The atmosphere was frankly oppressive, a far cry from the pleasant experience one hopes to have at a restaurant. We ultimately decided to leave without even ordering dessert, as the manager's attitude had completely put us off the idea of ​​lingering. A restaurant where one feels neither truly welcome nor particularly well served. We will not be returning.

28/10/2026: A superb discovery! The owner welcomed us with a big smile and was incredibly kind throughout the meal. The setting is magnificent, the decor is very tasteful, and the atmosphere is truly warm. As for the food: the dishes are delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Passing through on vacation, we had a wonderful time! I highly recommend it!

26/09/2025: Hello everyone! Today my wife and I went to eat at Courte Paille in Pontarlier. We ordered the same dish: a casserole with three types of fish. Unfortunately, the casserole only contained a small piece of salmon with rice and a large piece of lemon. The dish cost €17, and the contents barely filled half of the small casserole. I spoke to the employee, explaining that there was no fish, and she apologized. It's shameful to take advantage of customers. I regret choosing this restaurant. I'm fed up with being ripped off.

23/09/2025: Meh, industrial food and grilled meats tasted... way burnt, and the wines were tasteless! Friendly staff. But overall, only go if you have no other options, as the prices are still high for salads or basic dishes.

28/08/2026: A very friendly, welcoming bar with lovely, attentive staff! We go there often and are never disappointed! There's a wide selection of drinks as well as generous and delicious dishes! Go without hesitation, the atmosphere and setting are worth it 🎉

11/09/2026: A flawless evening, from booking to departure. The terrace is beautiful and inviting. The service was attentive, our 3-year-old was warmly welcomed, and her meal arrived even before we had finished our aperitifs. The accras were light, fluffy, perfectly cooked, and served with a flavorful sauce. We opted for foie gras and shrimp tartare as starters, duck breast and beef fillet with chimichurri sauce for our main courses, and profiteroles and a medley of red berries for dessert. All the dishes were expertly prepared, fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. The meats were cooked to perfection, the side dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous without being excessive—everything lived up to our expectations.

14/10/2026: The rice with pork knuckle is simply delicious. The biang biang noodles are also very good; a truly authentic restaurant. The value for money is excellent, and the portions are quite generous.

02/10/2026: Amazing savoury crêpes and very friendly service. It was my husband’s first time trying a French savoury crêpe, and he absolutely loved it!

30/07/2026: We didn't like the beef. It was very tough and rubbery to chew. The beef dishes are not recommended. It's also a shame that they serve canned drinks.

25/07/2026: Family dinner, two adults and two children. Friendly atmosphere. Generous mixed appetizers, excellent grilled fish, and tender Taureau steaks. Good food and excellent ingredients. The cheese selection is also recommended. A pleasant evening, thanks in part to the very friendly staff.

10/10/2026: We had a truly delicious meal and there are lovely wines on the menu. We have been walking past it for years, but we will definitely be back now.

The portions are generous and, above all, delicious—we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The welcome was also very warm. They brought us water without us even having to ask, which I really appreciated. They also offered to put my daughter's leftovers in a small doggy bag, a simple but thoughtful touch. In short, we had a wonderful time, both for the food and the service. I highly recommend it! 😊

20/09/2026: Excellent Italian restaurant in a beautiful medieval setting. The service is quick and the dishes are beautifully presented. The quality of the fresh pasta is remarkable! The desserts are very generously portioned. And a visit to the wine cellar is definitely a must, with a fine selection of wines, mostly from Italy. We had a very pleasant evening there with friends and will be back.
